My son and I were stranded in Richwood. The desk clerk Charlotte at the Hampton went above and beyond to help us. We really appreciate it and I will go there anytime.

Nice clean hotel, they were actually doing some remodeling when I stayed. Staff is very friendly. Nice location close to a McDonald's and Walmart.

This was a nice, smaller, older Hampton. But they are updating, and they had the decorating schemes displayed.

My wife and I recently stayed here for 4 nights while in the area as part of a 2-week Fall vacation to Kentucky & West Virginia. Decent hotel choices are sparce in the Summersville area, but the overall reviews were decent, so we rolled the dice and booked here. We were pleasantly surprised by how good our stay was. This was one of only 2 hotels out of 7 we stayed at that was a beehive of activity each day, had its act together across the board, and the staff members clearly took pride in their work. This is an older Hampton Inn, and it shows around the edges and the smaller rooms. They are in the middle of doing some renovations, however, and what had been completed definitely refreshed the older look. The maintenance team was very busy the entire time doing a lot of work all over the property. When all is done it should be very decent. Despite the age and ongoing renovations, all was consistently clean, all of the staff members were very friendly, and the team was working hard from early in the morning to the end of the day. The breakfast was one of the best we had the entire trip because they offered a fresh fruit medley, which was super welcome when you are traveling and everything is typically fried or pre-made. The coffee was consistently hot and very good as well. The lady running the breakfast (my apologies for not remembering her name) was super-friendly and helpful, always in motion. Extra kudos to her. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area based on the team working there and the cleanliness. Great job by all.
