Right off the exit, not much of a quiet visit. Breakfast is dry like an old persons bank account. I don’t recommend it.

The team at this location was amazing! I chose this hotel due to its proximity to CAMC where my twin grandsons were born. The baby's parents live 40 minutes away, so I booked them a room the night before the boys were born. I discussed my needs with Rebecca and she accommodated my every request - a room with a lower bed so Mom-to-be could get in and out easily, a shower with a built in bench (she also included a shower chair to use after the shower), a non-slip shower mat, extra towels and extra pillows.

I was in the Charleston area for work and selected this hotel based solely on the proximity to the interstate. Bad choice on my part. My Hilton Honors account has my preferences as "high floor, away from elevator", any frequent traveler knows that's how you avoid most issues. First issue was my reserved room was on the fifth floor and as far away from the elevator as possible. During check in, the room was magically under contruction so I was bumped to the fourth floor and a room literally next to the elevator, strike one. The traffic noise from the highway and city streets never ceases, strike two. This week there was a highschool volleyball tournament in the city, the hotel was crawling with highschool girls running around, screaming, and slamming doors until 11pm between Monday night and Wednesday night, hotel staff were extremely unhelpful in trying to rectify the uncontrollable children, strike three. I paid for the premium wifi, I couldn't even download work emails and streaming videos was absolutely impossible as the signal kept dropping out and the speed was less than 200mbps, strike four. While checking out, I could hear a dog barking in the lobby from the third floor. This dog attacked a toddler and the owner acknowledged it by saying "he loves on everyone!", dogs don't love on people by snarling, growling, and barking while running full speed actress the lobby, strike five. Take my advice: if you value receiving products and services you paid for and having a decent nights sleep; stay elsewhere.

The rooms were clean and smelled nice. They were aesthetically lit when we arrived at 10:13pm which was nice to be able to avoid stumbling in the dark. The service was lovely—we have allergies and Rebecca at the front desk was helpful with informing me what I could and could not have for breakfast. We also had some dirty water marks on our car, and when we asked if we could borrow cleaner they gave us a spray AND a nice microfiber cloth to use (they saved the day for my husband and for me since now I don’t have to hear him complain about it all day :)) If you are particular about where you stay because you’ve had some really BAD stays in the past—make this one of your safe stays <3

Stayed just one night but it was a pleasant experience. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Finding the entrance was a bit tricky with one way streets, expressway, bridges, all converging in the area but we got the hang of it. Nice breakfast. Would stay again.
