My husband and I are from North Carolina and celebrated our 50th anniversary in Charles Town at your fabulous hotel. The entire staff was helpful and welcoming. Every associate displayed a joyful disposition and often asked if they could make our stay better. We would like to recogize 2 of your staff members. Please thank your front desk associate, Daylin. He was extremely friendly, had a welcoming smile and treated us like family. We also want to thank your breakfast associate, Tracy. She was amazing. We enjoyed your breakfast 3 mornings and Ms Tracy worked extremely hard every morning to ensure all our breakfast requests were satisfied. Please recognize these 2 valued members of your team. We plan to travel to WV in the future and will definitely stay at your warm, friendly and top notch hotel. Thank you.
Sincerely, Guy and Val Bowmaster

Can't really complain, just tired of paying over $200 a nite just to sleep. Truly, it's an average price for the better hotels in the area. I guess we should just stop traveling.
The check in staff on Friday was weak, gave us the out of towners look and feel. Please.... take your attitude and local problems somewhere else. My wife has people in the area and we were visiting. Not there for gambling.
Might return...

We arrived around 6p and there were no luggage carts and we had a lot of luggage. We asked at the reception desk if they could please find a cart for us. A young man took a very quick look and came back to say sorry, he couldn't find one. It did not seem like he tried very hard. My senior citizen husband had to carry everything in with no help or cart. Only when I asked did they help us carry our bags to the 3rd floor which was a long walk from the elevator. The room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom fan did not work so after showering you had to wait a while to be able to use the mirror for hair, makeup or shaving. Wifi was awful. It would drop you every 5 minutes or so. Housekeeping did a good job. There was a sign in the bath saying they would come every other day but they came every day. The first day we were not expecting that anyone would be in the room so didn't bother to put our electronics and personal items away so that was a little off-putting. Nothing was missing though and it was nice to have a freshly made bed.
Breakfast was so-so. Not much for hot food and the coffee didn't taste good. Overall, pretty expensive for a less than wonderful experience.

I stay at many hotels throughout the year and find even at hiltons the quality can vary greatly.
This is by far the best hotel I have ever experienced. The hotel is was clean with all amenities well kept and available to use.
The room was clean and breakfast was fresh and tasted great.
However with all that said the best part of the experience was every interaction with the staff. From the time I checked in till during breakfast and even random encounters the staff was friendly and genuinely cared about how you were doing and your visit was going. During lunch the counter employee was having random conversations with customers as they walked by and anytime anyone had a question he was fully invested in helping them.
Awesome job to the staff and the management at this hotel.
