Normally I love staying at Tru, but the dog barking in the adjacent room for hours ruined it. The manager stated they contacted the absent owner and they were at the bar nextdoor and hoped they would be home soon. Very disappointing.

My son was transferred to the ICU at the hospital in Beckley. I'm 3 hours away from home. I needed somewhere close to the hospital to sleep. This is the first hotel in my 60 years of life that wouldn't give a discount with a emergency hospital stay. He's now been transferred to Huntington, guess what the fancy Marriott hotel I'm in now is giving a good discount.

We pulled in late without a reservation. The location is right off the highway and very easy to find with gas stations very close by. Rooms were available, front desk clerk was friendly. All areas of the hotel were very clean and well kept. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. They put out a great selection for breakfast, including gluten free bagels, which you don't see often! We would highly recommend this hotel! Price seemed a little high, but not horrible, especially after seeing the way everything was kept.

Overpriced! $350 a night for a cracker jack box. The desk clerks both morning and night were unprofessional, sloppy and offered no greeting what so ever. Both were sloppy dressed and had poor manners. The elevator was horrible, grout missing from tile, every tile cracked. The room was still dirty, it had just beem straightened. The shower handle was broken. The road noise is terrible. Due to the plank flooring in room you can hear everyone walking above and beside. Just a down right overpriced cracker box. Nothing at all special or accomadating. Spend your money elsewhere.

The room and hotel were great but we couldn't help but notice that there was no closet and no microwave. However, they literally have the softest pillows on the planet!Microwaves in a room come in handy when you have leftovers.
