- JRJenny RobertsDec 26, 20252.0Linens were up to Hampton expectations. Building itself not! Rooms need updating! Doors not sealed properly half inch gap lets noise and hallway light flood the room at night. Bathroom is old Needs updated. Not the normal for a Hampton Inn!

Absolutely no soundproofing in the rooms, and you can hear all the noises from the corridors and from the room above your’s. So outdated, no upgrades at all done in years it looks like. My pet dog and both my husband and I had sleepless night due to all the noise, after a long drive and we had to drive another 8 hours next day to Georgia. Breakfast really so cheap! Never had this kind of a bad experience in any Hilton group of hotels. Hilton should re-consider. We booked it only because it was Hilton group of hotel. First and last stay! Many of the positive reviews we see here are cooked up. I seriously doubt them as personally experienced nothing was true except location was great and service was pretty okay.

- JVJD VincentNov 28, 20251.0I have stayed at this hotel at least twice a year for the last 10 years or so, enroute to and from Florida for the winter (snowbird). I choose this hotel because if I leave early enough from my home up north I will arrive in Beckley around 6 pm. The hotel is beside a Texas steakhouse which is convenient for dinner. Over the years, I have seen this hotel decline as the owner has not put any money into renovations or improvements, for at least all the years I have been visiting. My most recent visit around Thanksgiving November 2025 will be my last. Here is what pushed me over the edge: My room was on the fifth floor, which meant I needed to take one of the two elevators to get there. Despite that the hotel was not crowded, there was always a long wait for the elevator to arrive. On one occasion I was waiting in the lobby with one of the cleaning staff, and I asked her whether only one elevator was working. She sighed and said: “there is only ever one elevator working”. Suddenly it dawned on me: the owner of this hotel is never going to spend money to renovate or improve the property. From the old toilets and shower fixtures to the old lumpy mattresses, this is one of the worst Hampton Inns I have ever stayed at. No More! Hilton - get your act together and sever ties with this franchisee. It ruins the brand.
