I leisure travel 75+ nights a year at different Homewood Suites across the country so I expect a certain standard with this brand, especially when I'm paying $250 a night. I have a lot of experience at Homewood Suites to be able to compare and it was obvious that guest experience was not a priority at this property. It was 87° during my stay and 66° degrees was not low enough of a temperature to cool my room when it was such a hot day. The thermostat just turns off once it hits the set temperature (can't go lower than 66°) and never comes back on. My stay was hot, stale, and made it impossible to have a restful night's sleep. It is so insulting to have my room temperature decided for me. It is such a red flag that the manager or operator of this hotel cares more about saving on electricity than providing a comfortable stay for guests. This was proven even more true when I went down for breakfast the following morning just to find rotten, barely cooked potatoes and cold sausage gravy. Ew, I'll pass. Which means more money out of pocket to go and buy breakfast elsewhere since the food the hotel was serving was not up to an acceptable standard. Rotten and cold food? Thats what you find in the garbage, not being served at a Hilton breakfast buffet. Absolutely offensive. When I'm coming out of pocket $250 a night for a room I should feel like the guest comes first but this hotel is just trying to cut costs. I will not be back.
