From the moment I pulled up to the valet sign, everything was fantastic. It was 13°F today, yet the valet, Humbero, was fast, efficient, and welcoming. At the front desk, Shenna greeted me with professionalism and kindness and made me feel very welcome. I was given an amazing corner room with a unique, cool layout, and I absolutely loved it.
Later, I went downstairs to check out the restaurant. Even though it didn’t officially open until 5:00 PM, Christy at the bar graciously took my order for room service. She was wonderful. My food arrived within 15 minutes. When I noticed they had forgotten the sauce and tea, I went down myself, and Christy truly went above and beyond by making sure I had plenty of sauce and serving me great tea.
The vibe of this hotel is incredible ✨. I even received a complimentary cookie from the front desk 🍪, which was surprisingly delicious since I usually don’t even like cookies. Huge shout out to housekeeping for having my room perfectly prepared, and to the kind person mopping the lobby floors when I arrived.
This is officially my favorite hotel in Milwaukee so far. I’m already looking forward to staying here again for my next 5K in a few weeks 🏃♀️ and anytime I’m in the city.
Final shout out to Antonio and Aaron at the front desk as well. Thank you all!

Due to my dad becoming suddenly ill, I decided to visit him on Monday, Nov. 10. I chose not to fly due to the air traffic controller issues at all the major airports. So I decided last minute to drive from Louisiana (14 hours away) to make the visit. While enroute, I called DoubleTree Downtown and booked a room. This was an effortless task. Jose was the agent who assisted me over the phone and he was most understanding and very caring about my situation. Upon arriving 14 hours later that evening, I was greeted at the front desk by Daniel, who was so very nice and accomodating. He gave me complimentary coffee vouchers for the next morning and directions to the hospital where my dad was staying. As well, the valet (I forget his name) was very patient and helpful as I slowly unpacked all my belongings from the car. The next morning, Rick and Mari greeted me with open arms and they were very helpful with directions and in answering so many other questions I had about the restaurants, etc. For the entire time I stayed at the DoubleTree (Nov. 10-14), these staffers continued to offer top-notch service. They were kind, professional, accomodating, and knowledgeable. And most importantly, they consistently provided excellent service with a smile in their voices via phone and on their faces when I encountered them in person. This was a very uneasy time for me, and these things mattered most - and I am most appreciative for the support and kindness each of them showed me time and time again. And I must say also, the hotel itself lives up to the Hilton brand (clean, accessible, safe area) - very nice accomodations for me. I will most certainly return upon my next visit to Milwaukee. Jose, Daniel, Rick and Mari...Thanks to you all for a great experience. Keep up the good work.
