I work insane hours, traveling AND have a local-ish address. They never hassle me for huge deposits, AND we had ONE MINOR hiccup with a service issue, the ENTIRE team went WAY above my expectations to accommodate me. Its comfortable, location is great, rooms are clean, breakfast could be a tad warmer, but definitely great choices. Again...its my Home²! -L. Hill

There must have been a youth hockey tournament in LaCrosse so the front desk representative gave us a room on the 4th floor away from “potential noise”. Always a pleasant stay.

Lots of options for breakfast which is great and it tasted pretty good as well which you dont get at some other hotels. Every close to bars and restaurants but just far enough to not get a lot of the noise.
- PPpeachNov 5, 20253.0I am a big fan of the Home2 Suites by Hilton. Anytime I’m traveling, it’s my first choice for hotels. They’re reliably clean and affordable. The Home2 in La Crosse was in a great downtown location while still being affordable. The main areas of the hotel were very clean and welcoming. I had great interactions with the front desk staff while checking in and checking out. Upon entering my room, which had just been cleaned, I was hit with a wall of fragrance. It was very much like perfume instead of just smelling clean. As I got settled, the scent continued to overwhelm me, causing physical irritation. Either the cleaning products being used are HIGHLY fragranced or someone is using air fresheners or perfumes to cover up other unpleasant odors in the room. There was no way to air out the space since the window does not open. Thankfully the sheets seemed to be unaffected by this, having no scent, and the bed was very comfortable. I would’ve kept my rating to four stars had housekeeping not walked into my room unannounced the next morning before I’d checked out. This made me very uncomfortable, and I felt rushed out of my room.
