- PPpeachNov 2, 20253.0Home2s are my go to when traveling due to their locations and how affordable the rooms typically are. I stayed at this Home2 twice in one week, totaling 4 nights. The first stay/first two nights were in a room on the fourth floor. Everything went great, the room was super clean, the staff was friendly and efficient. I had no issues. If this was my only stay, I’d give 5 stars easily. Unfortunately my second stay was disappointing. I was on the second floor this time. The first night, the person in the room above me stomped and banged around from when they arrived at 9PM until they left at 5AM the next morning. It woke me up multiple times throughout the night, it was so LOUD. I would only stay again if I can guarantee a room on the fourth floor, as there seems to be nothing between floors to reduce the sound of guests above. I would not risk being stuck in a room below someone who is up all night stomping and banging around as loud as humanly possible. Update: I stayed at this Home2 Suites a third time, which will be my last. This is the second Home2 Suites I’ve found to be using HIGHLY fragrances products to clean the room. Upon entering the room, I was hit with a thick wall of perfumey fragrance that was physically irritating. I don’t know who at Hilton decided using highly fragranced cleaning products to clean hotel rooms was a good idea. This happening at two different locations has resulted in me searching for stays through other hotel brands as to not risk being stuck in a room that causes such irritation.

Great location to get to things in Eau Claire and lots of restaurants within walking distance and a mall to kill time indoors if it is yucky outside!! Hotel is on the bus line if you want to use public transportation!
