I stayed here for three weeks and was very disappointed with the level of service. My sheets were only changed once, and that was only because I went to the front desk, requested a full set of bedding, and changed them myself. As a rewards member, I expected much better treatment.
Despite raising concerns about the cleanliness of my room multiple times, the bare minimum was done. Housekeeping mainly just emptied the trash and replaced a few towels. The floors were never vacuumed or cleaned, and I found hair on the bathroom sink. Thankfully, I had brought my own disinfecting wipes—when I cleaned surfaces, doors, and light switches myself, the wipes turned black, which shows how dirty they were.
Another major issue was the water. The shower was never hot—barely warm at best. When I called maintenance, I was told it was because too many people were showering at the same time and was advised to change my shower schedule. That isn’t a reasonable solution when you’re working during the day, and frankly, it felt like a poor excuse. I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn Express Abrams Hall at Fort Benning, which has nearly 900 rooms, and I never had an issue with hot water there.
The rooms also advertise a small stove, but there are no cups, plates, utensils, pots, or pans provided. If you want to cook, you have to check out pots and cooking utensils from the front desk, and plates, forks, and cups are only available if the breakfast staff happen to leave them out. This makes the in-room kitchen almost useless for guests who don’t travel with their own cookware.
Breakfast itself left much to be desired. The food was the same every day, lukewarm, with stale bread and plain bagels without variety.
The one positive I can mention is that the business center was nice, and I appreciated the ability to print when needed.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience and well below the standard I expect, especially as a loyal rewards member.
