We gave it a shot after hearing how great the fall season is on the East Coast. I had never heard of Edson Hill and found it through research online. Our experience here was incredible on every level. The property is beautiful, consisting of approximately 36 acres of great views, trees/leaves, horses, hiking trails and a pond. The entire Edson Hill staff, including house staff, wait staff and bartenders, were very friendly and accommodating. The patio, complete with a wood-burning fire pit, overlooks the property and is a great spot to relax, take in the views and have a cocktail. The restaurant and bar are located in the Manor House. The restaurant and bar are intimate and serve Michelin-caliber food and drinks. Additionally, Edson Hill is conveniently located approximately 10-15 minutes away from Downtown Stowe, Waterbury and Smugglers Notch. It is also located approximately 45-50 minutes from Burlington Airport. My wife and I stayed in the Que Sera Sera room in the Hemlock House. The rooms were elegant, comfortable and very clean. They are also quite private, since these rooms are almost like individualized cabins on the property. Rooms are limited, so the property is not overrun with too many people which really allowed us to relax and enjoy all the property had to offer. My wife and I do not have enough good things to say about our experience at Edson Hill. I have been back in Chicago for a few days and have already recommended Edson Hill to those who have inquired about our trip. For those considering a stay at Edson Hill - You can end your search here. Do not delay. Make the reservation. You will not be disappointed!
- PPPatrickOct 14, 20255.0What a gem! We only stayed 2 nights this trip but we’ll be back. Quiet, charming, and relaxing. Had 2 great nights of sleep. Room was cozy, had a very nice bathroom, and bed linens and mattress were very nice and comfy. The tavern had a great classic dimly lit old wood beam leather chair feel to it if you know what I mean. Great place for a drink before or after dinner. Or both 😂. The staff were so friendly and warm. The dinners were delicious, 5 stars. Our server Margo was so sweet and amazing and made the dinner extra special and memorable. Will stay here again and highly recommend!

The moment you pull onto Edson Hill’s property, it invites you to relax and enjoy the beauty. It’s truly a dreamy, cozy, and charming location. Our room, Let It Be, was perfect!! Tucked away from the main house, and perfect for an anniversary trip. Hospitality at Edson Hill is top notch!! They took care of every little detail before arriving and during our stay — that is who they are! The dining room is quaint and charming making breakfast even more enjoyable each morning. The Tavern is so cozy offering a nice variety of delectable drinks! Evening dining is wonderful!! Thank you for such warm hospitality and creating such beautiful space through all of your intentional decor and genuine service. We can’t wait to return …hopefully in the winter.

The property is pure Vermont charm—rolling hills, a peaceful pond, horses grazing in the distance, and even deer wandering by. It’s quiet, intimate, and wonderfully restorative. Jesse was an absolute sweetheart and made us feel so welcome, like we were staying with friends rather than at a hotel. The whole experience felt warm, genuine, and relaxed—true country luxury without any pretense. If you want quiet, quaint, and intimate, this is the place. If you’d rather be somewhere bustling and trying too hard, go to Topnotch or Spruce. For us, Edson Hill was perfect—romantic, restorative, and unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back.
