Perfect stay and amazing service! My room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The service, however, is what really makes it 5 stars. A HUGE shout-out to Judy at the front desk. She was warm, friendly and helpful. She made check in a delight. I highly recommend this hotel.

I became sick the morning if our reservation. My husband called to cancel our by 10am and they refused to give us a refund or credit! We had only made the reservation 2 nights prior. Horrible customer service!

The folks complaining have booked the lowest rate on a Hilton in the area and took to the inter-webs to write about their struggles of not being able to afford to stay downtown.
Spark, like Tru, is geared towards value. Usually a Spark is going to be a converted Quality Inn or something while Tru is going to be a new build. This location however appears to have been built as apartments (evidence by the size of the rooms and the circuit breaker inside the room labeled for and oven and dish washer). Somewhere along the line it became a hotel.
The room is sparsely furnished however, again this was not built as a hotel. I stayed the peak of foliage season on business and this was the most affordable hotel I would stay at. It checked all my boxes and has some great amenities including a fitness center, guest laundry, water bottle fill station on each floor, and a basic free breakfast including coffee (the packaged cheese danish I grabbed on the way out along with coffee was decent).
Yeah, the rate was high but you look outside of peak season it becomes extremely affordable. Don’t want to pay high rates? Stay in Plattsburgh or just maybe don’t go to Vermont.

Not get your hope high! It doesn't mean it's as good as a Hilto just because it's a member of the Hilton. Although the cost per night could be so high that gives one illustration it is a Hilton!
Location wise, it's close to Essex junction train station.
Room is basic, it's more like a motel than a "Hilton".
Breakfast: couldn't be more basic than basic!
Protein: Boiled eggs.
Starch: cereal, bagels, muffins.
Cold Drinks: 2%milk, oat milk, apple juice, orange juice, water.
Hot drinks: coffee, decaf and hot water with 2 choice of tea bag.
There's a shelf that provides more choices of snacks which you can buy.
Room:
Bed: very comfortable.
Pillow: 4 of them and I really like them.
Bathroom: tissue paper is far to reach. Not kids friendly. Toilet seat doesn't match the toilet ring, one needs to be careful not to fall off.
Window: big to view the scenery during Fall season.
Shower: basic shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Plenty of Hilton towels! Hair dryer provided.
Small refrigerator is in the room. There's no coffee pot or microwave. You will need to get to the lobby for coffee and hot water which are provided 24 hours.
It's not a "Hilton"! Read the reviews!
Surprise: hotel holds $100 security deposit which I was never told and I was not happy about it!
