We got an accessible room. Its located kind of in a middle of a field with nothing around the hotel within walking distance. The front desk person was very nice and helpful. The hotel is clean and modern. No small pillows here, comfortable mattress, nice large pillows and a tub in our room instead of a shower with multiple grab bars. We did improvise because there was only one nightstand. 😀👍

The best part of this hotel was the staff!! Extremely professional and friendly. There was complimentary water coffee and hot tea all day. Unfortunately there were some important negatives. The hot water would not get hot. It would get Luke warm at best no matter how long you let it run to heat up. The room refrigerator wouldn’t keep anything cold. The air/heat duct was pretty filthy for allergy sufferers. The bed pillows were pretty flat. Overall other than the furnace/air ducts the room was very clean.

Not good. The room I picked in advance was not in service but I was not notified and only found out after I opened the door with my digital key. Assigned to another room by the front desk but when I went to that room I found that it had not been cleaned or made up. The room we finally ended up in was clean and the bed was comfortable but it was incredibly loud with traffic passing by on I-81 that we got virtually no sleep. That room should not be a guest room. I think something shady was going on in the room next door as that guest was in and out of their room, slamming the door behind them every 15 minutes, all night long. They started playing music at 4am. When morning finally came, found there was no shower gel in the dispenser in the shower. Will never stay at a TRU again. Update. Hilton advised that they will refund our stay! Unfortunately it won’t get back a lost night of sleep on the road, but I definitely appreciate that Hilton acted with integrity and accepted that, at least on this occasion, their product was sub standard. Well played Hilton!!

We stopped at the Tru by Hilton Wytheville on December 24th while traveling to our next destination, and it was a horrible experience. When we first checked in, we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned at all—there were no sheets on the bed and the pillows were misplaced. After asking for a replacement, we were moved to a second room that was just as bad. There was hair everywhere, the sheets were dirty, and there was garbage left on the floor. This stay was a complete disaster; it did not meet Hilton standards and was definitely not worth the money. Between the lack of cleanliness and the overall condition, it felt like a safety and health hazard. Avoid this location

I couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming haven after a long day of driving! I travel frequently and can say with confidence that this has been one of the most excellent hospitality experiences I’ve had in recent years. From the moment I walked through the door, the front desk staff were incredibly kind and made me feel right at home. They even had a welcome bag for my dog! The rooms are modern, sparkling clean, and have all of the amenities that you could need. It’s clear that the staff is attentive and wants every guest to have a fantastic experience. Will definitely be returning!
