My first time at a Tru, and I’m not sure how I feel about it. The lobby had a weird perfume smell like air fresheners. That always makes me wonder why that’s needed. But we checked in and the manager said they weren’t giving key cards because their machine was broken, so he called a guy that had been sitting in the lobby area to walk us to the room and open the door for us…it definitely felt weird. So somebody else had a key to my room but I didn’t! We just stayed in the room all night because we’d have to have that guy open our door again?! The room was ok, nothing great. Breakfast…it was just ok especially because the toaster was broken, so no toast? Come on Hilton, the key maker and toaster both broken. There are too many other options available for a Hilton to be so lax. Not impressed at all, sorry.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The room had a strong, musty perfume smell that was quite off-putting, and the floors were unclean. I found hair in the shower, and the bathroom wallpaper was peeling and had mold. Additionally, the front desk area also smelled of the same musty perfume. During my stay, I noticed the family running the hotel lounging in the lobby, which felt unprofessional, especially since one of them was barefoot. On a positive note, the hotel is conveniently located near a gas station, quick food options, I-95, and a raceway, but I wish the overall cleanliness and atmosphere had matched the convenience.

Place stinks of some strange deodorant you can smell even fron outside. No keys to enter rooms so some strange man has to let you in your room, gym, swimming pool every time. Extremely strange Extremely not safe for females.

Dear Management Team,
I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at your Tru by Hilton property. While the hotel looks good from the outside and the room met the standard expectations of a Tru hotel, the front desk service was extremely poor and unacceptable.
I checked in after midnight and was met with a very rude and unprofessional attitude from the front desk associate. There was no greeting or basic courtesy, and he acted as though he was in a position of authority rather than someone providing customer service. I have been a Hilton Diamond member for over ten years, and I have never experienced this level of disrespect at any Hilton property.
The associate did not offer the Diamond member water and snack benefits. I had to ask for them myself, despite clearly seeing the packages behind the desk. Even then, he appeared hesitant to provide them.
Additionally, when I checked my Hilton app, I saw that rooms were available on the 4th floor. However, when I politely asked the associate about this, I was told the hotel was fully booked. This response did not match the information shown in the app and came across as dishonest or, at best, a lack of effort to assist.
The most unacceptable moment occurred when I asked for a box of tissues. The associate looked directly at me and simply said “No,” without any explanation or attempt to help. I have never endured such rude behavior at a Hilton property. It felt as though he was irritated by guests asking basic questions.
I value professionalism, honesty, and basic customer service, especially from a brand I have been loyal to for over a decade. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below Hilton’s service standards.
In addition there was water stains on the ceiling in the bathroom on the 3rd floor where I stay.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and addressed appropriately.
Sincerely,
Jack Cheung

This hotel is convenient, quiet, affordable, and outstanding. The staff is kind, the rooms are state of the art and clean, and this is right off the highway. It's conveniently right behind a Sheetz, so it's easy to refuel before you leave. This is my third stay during a long road trip, and I look forward to staying here in the future.
