Let me start that I am not from this area,an last night at this Hotel will be one that I won't be forgetting..for starters, I felt as if I had to be dressed up after I showered to be able to go out and have a cigarette out of fear of judgment and secondly I went to get ice at the ice machine on the first floor and well the video attached this, will say it all. I attach picture of myself that night For the simple fact that when I went to the front desk to tell them about the issue I was treated poorly, ignorantly I most definitely judging me I guess I don't fit the profile here🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully situated right along the river, offering peaceful views and a relaxing atmosphere — perfect for both business and leisure travelers. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the cozy bedding, the well-designed workspace, and the modern amenities. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every part of my stay was enjoyable — friendly smiles at check-in, helpful local recommendations, and prompt service whenever I needed anything. The on-site restaurant and bar were great as well — delicious breakfast options and a lovely dinner by the water. The location is ideal, just a short walk to downtown Suffolk’s charming shops and restaurants, yet quiet enough to feel like a true getaway. Overall, the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront exceeded my expectations. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and Southern hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Attended a reunion in near by Smithfield. The Stonewood Inn had been rebranded into an Econolodge. The check in was seamless. The receptionist was friendly and accommodating. They like a $100 deposit. My room was clean and neat. Comfortable bed. I got a king with living room ie sofa couch. I did this in case another classmate opted to come. But no...the room had a small refrigerator, microwave, desk and Spectrum TV . The only downer was the strong cigarette odor. It seems to be in the hallway and perhaps the carpet needs to be changed. They are remodeling as I noted the hall were being freshly painted. I do recommend the Econ lodge
