So I'm staying at the Hotel Belvoir. I've worked late (after midnight) the past two nights. Yesterday and this morning, I was awoken at 8am by banging and rattling sounds (not your typical hotel noises like doors or people having some fun) that would occur 2-3 times and then stop for about 5 minutes, then start again. I gave up trying to sleep yesterday morning at 9:30 because it just kept happening.
This morning after it happened 4-5 times, I called the front desk and reported it. They said they would investigate. It kept happening. I asked for a different room. They sent up an "engineer" who told me none of the rooms beside, above, or below me were occupied. Yet, he heard the noises himself.
It's 9:50 and I'm still waiting for another room. I've got a meeting at 1, so it's unlikely I'll get back to sleep after to move.
I've got another late night tonight and I'm already exhausted...
I'm usually pretty patient and understanding with hotels, but this is ridiculous.
Update. Hotel management called me at 6pm while I was at work responding to my request for a room change. A bit too late? I told them I wouldn't be back at my room until very late and I was leaving early in the morning so I wasn't about to change now.
Fast-forward to 6AM this morning when I am awoken by severe itching on my arms. I'm extremely allergic to bedbugs. They wake me up instantly.
Funny. Didn't have issues the first two nights!
I have a picture of the squashed bedbug as evidence.

I recently stayed at this Hilton-brand hotel and unfortunately my experience was far from what I expect from the Hilton name. While the hotel’s location is great and the staff was generally okay, the condition of the rooms I was given was completely unacceptable.
The first connected rooms had roaches, and when I requested a change, the only solution offered was to move me to another room which is typical but no points or anything, just a room move and a we can spray the room. The gentleman who assisted me with the move was very nice and helpful, but the situation itself should never have happened—especially at a Hilton property.
Cleanliness and quality standards are expected to be much higher, and this experience left me very disappointed. I hope management addresses these issues immediately for future guests.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The beds were comfortable. The hotel is in a good location near a mall and plenty of restaurants. We were disappointed that the shuttle to the train station didn't run on weekends but the train station is a quick drive or Uber from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay

Hotel has friendly, cordial staff from Temu (Housing), Ayes (from desk), and Tee (Breakfast waitress). Eager to offer help, responsive to info request. Walk in shower for my disabled wife was great...had bench and hand wand.
Excellent!

One night stay to attend a reunion. Welcoming and friendly staff. Quick 2 minutes off I-95, and good location for major shopping stores, Target etc... Plenty of free parking. Rooms are all 2 queen setup. Elevators very fast, makes it nice with the hotel having 12 floors. Rooms are comfortable and good Wifi. Small refrigerator and coffee maker. Not USB ports anywhere in the room, bring a phone power charger. Nice bar, and 5-7pm Happy hour nightly. Free breakfast, beautiful sit down area, with chafing buffet style set up. Overall a great stay and experience.
