We encountered some heavy traffic outside DC and decided to stop for the evening. We are happy to say that the Embassy Suites offered us a relaxing night stay. The rooms were decent, but the walk to the room was really far, especially with all of our luggage. The free drinks during happy hour were a nice touch. One thing was that the room across from us put some take-out food trash outside their door early evening. It was still there the next morning. Yuck. And the pool is STILL closed.

Checked and was given a room on the 7th floor, hauled up luggage only to enter a room that had not been cleaned. Bed unmade, towels on the floor ect. Not what I have come to expect as a Diamond member or from Embassy Suites. Back down to the desk...new room on the 4th floor, it was clean but TV didn't power on in the living room. Tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work in the room either. Back downstairs I went. Let the front desk know and they said they would send maintenance up. I stayed 2 days and nobody ever showed. We just made due watching the TV in the bedroom which was an issue as all the tvs in all the rooms were getting very limited channels, the front desk stated maintenance was working on the issue, apparently the same maintenance that was trying to fix my living room TV because after two days the channel issues were unresolved. On another note, I got up in the morning, went to the gym and then decided to go to breakfast as Embassy Suites are known for their breakfast..to my surprise at 0845 the omelet station was out of ham, spinach and tomatoes....What breakfast goes till 0930 but runs out of everything? apparently on a Sunday you have to go to breakfast before 0800 if you want an omelet with the ingredients you desire. Oh and Managers Happy Hour or evening special with drinks and light snacks is now light snacks and maximum of two drinks. Not sure when that changed, but was de taken by surprise.

The stay was nice, and the room was okay, but the customer service was really disappointing. I requested room cleaning several times, but no one cleaned my room for two days. On top of that, I was charged twice by mistake, and the staff denied it — I’m still waiting for my refund. The front desk and cleaning service were not helpful at all. The room itself was fine, but the service needs a lot of improvement.

I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Springfield for a work trip, and honestly, it was one of my least favorite Hilton experiences. When I first pulled up, I could tell the building was older—maybe recently remodeled—but the vibe was off from the start. The front desk check-in was fine, but overall the staff didn’t seem very friendly or welcoming. The bigger white guy bartender, in particular, acted like he couldn’t be bothered unless you were actually buying a drink not just down during happy hour, which left a bad impression. The real issue came the next morning when I woke up and saw a roach crawling on the wall. That was disgusting and made me question how clean the room really was. To make things worse, breakfast was chaos—hundreds of middle school kids crowding the buffet and elevators, making it nearly impossible to grab food or move around comfortably. I get that big groups happen, but there should be better management or structure when the hotel is hosting that many students. Like you can tell when a hotel is actually equipped to handle a large volume of people at once this was not the case here. To top it off, I woke up with bug bites on my arm the morning I checked out, which sealed the deal for me. Between the lack of hospitality, cleanliness issues, and general chaos, I definitely wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to others.
