I stay at Hampton Inn regularly, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. This hotel is in terrible condition. One elevator is completely out of service, and the only working one is so shaky it feels unsafe. The hallways and room smelled bad, everything felt dirty, and the level of maintenance is shocking for a Hampton. On top of that, the luggage carts were so old and unstable that I couldn’t even use them. For a hotel that charges $144 a night, this is absolutely unacceptable. This property is nowhere near Hampton standards—it feels like a neglected budget motel. I instantly regretted staying here and genuinely feel ripped off.

Three words. Much too noisy! Walls are paper thin, you hear everything! Noise from hallways- people talking, noise from any room next door to you. Banging - any noise - all can be heard from inside your room. (-we were on first floor). Location off I95 is great, staff was great and room clean but too noisy to get a good night sleep

Directly off 95, room was relatively clean and comfortable. I arrived around 8:30, walked through the lobby, with my backpack, passing the night clerk who was relaxing on the sofa. Made my way up to room 213, only to find my digital key wasnt working. Went back downstairs, to the clerk, who was still on the couch, only for her to say, "i was gonna stop you to see if you had a key because our digital key system is down". Guess chilling on the couch, and talking with a friend, was more important. Thanks for nothing

⭐ 1 Star (Would Leave 0 if Possible) If I could give this hotel zero stars, I absolutely would. I booked a room at Hampton Inn Petersburg–Fort Gregg Adams through Booking.com for October 10th–11th, confirmed as a 2 Queen Bed room with a Sofa Bed. After being on the road for over 12 hours, my team and I were completely exhausted and ready to rest. When we arrived, the front desk clerk — a guy with dreadlocks who had a noticeable attitude — gave us the wrong room. When we returned to the desk and showed him our booking confirmation, he told us that no rooms in this hotel have sofa beds and said, “There’s nothing I can do about it.” I explained that this was clearly what we booked and paid for — a total of $337.63 — yet he refused to help or show even basic customer service. When I asked for a second room to be comped to accommodate our booking, he flat-out refused and told me to call Booking.com instead. I called Booking.com, who then told me to contact the hotel again - leading us nowhere. It was 3:25 AM, and we still had no room, no help, and nowhere to sleep. We had to be up for work at 7 AM, so we ended up walking next door to the Holiday Inn, where we finally found a room with a sofa bed for $218 out of pocket. This experience was beyond frustrating - it was unprofessional, dismissive, and completely unacceptable. As a business owner, I can confidently say this is not how you treat paying customers. Avoid this hotel at all costs. The staff clearly doesn't care about guest comfort or responsibility. Hampton Inn should be ashamed to have this location representing their brand.
