    We stayed here for a soccer tournament, and the service was excellent. Kwame and team were very polite and text us throughout our stay, checking in on us to ensure we were happy with everything. Rooms were clean and housekeepers were very polite and greeted us anytime we saw them. This hotel and staff definitely are top notch! Thanks again!

    The hotel and room was nice however the heat thermostat was not working and the heat would not turn off and overheated the room. The desk agent told me she would comp me 3K Honors points to compensate me for my inconvenience and that I would see the points later that day. I emailed the hotel manager 7 days later when the points did not appear. After 8 days, I still had not received any response so I had to contact Hilton to get the points issued. Very disappointing customer service for a Diamond member.

    My recent stay at the Hampton Inn Richmond-Mechanicsville was an incredibly frustrating and unpleasant experience from start to finish. The hotel's online advertising is completely misleading and does not reflect the reality of the rooms or the service provided. The room we were assigned was nothing like the photos online. It was visibly dirty, outdated, and had a terrible odor that was impossible to ignore. After a long day of travel, my family and I were looking forward to a comfortable night's rest, but the condition of the room made it unbearable. We felt so uncomfortable that we made the difficult decision to check out and drive four hours back home, as sleeping there was simply not an option. To make matters worse, despite being promised a full refund by the front desk staff at the time of our departure, the hotel is now refusing to honor that agreement. This is a clear breach of trust and a sign of very poor customer service. I am left not only with a wasted trip and a ruined evening but also out of pocket for a service that was never delivered. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. The false advertising, unsanitary conditions, and dishonest business practices are completely unacceptable.

    Jason at the front desk was friendly and energetic. However, the room was not good. The AC didn't work, so Jason got it working halfway. The room phone also didn't work. The bad part was when I went to shower in the morning. There was no hot or warm water at all. No matter how I adjusted the shower handle. In other words, I took a cold shower. I mentioned this to the girl out at checkout. She did not seem to care and gave the excuse that the room always has issues with the shower handle. I told her that that was something that the front desk needed to inform the guestss when they checked in. You don't let it become a surprise when they're trying to shower before checking out. She then said Yes, you're right, we should do that. However, they obviously did not do that, and in turn caused me to have a cold shower.
