I have to say the reviews about the staff are so true. I can say I had no problem checking in however checking out was when the issues started. I was in town for a medical procedure to help save someone's life and what should have been a joyous day started out so terribly. Upon leaving I asked if the medical company's card was the one being used and the woman working was extremely rude. She told me it would not be charged because the company would have to send someone down with a physical card or fill out a authorization form. Claiming I had to use my personal card because there was no authorization form. I ask at that point how would she know if someone filled out a authorization form and she replied I mean its pretty common sense. Is it common sense when she didnt even look? Especially when the company for a fact sent one hints their card being on file and showing me proof of a authorization form after the altercation. I had to repeat my same question to her again as if i was talking to child who didnt understand it the first time i asked. I repeated how would she know if a authorization form was sent(because she did not check) and she says oh, well I mean I didnt get one when i checked you in last night. At this point im convinced this lady just had no idea what she was doing, was to lazy to even look or was as high as a plane because she did not check me in last night. She proceeds to say well I know you dont have one and im like lady how would you know. Did you have a premonition?perhaps a voice rained down on you from the heavens because it certainly wasnt from you doing your job and actually checking. I ask her again how do you know i dont have a authorization form and she goes oh you just told me. I swear it would almost be comical if she wasn't so snappy however lady its 2025 learn how to use your work computer. Thanks for attempting to ruin a day.

I had a wonderful stay at the DoubleTree By Hilton ( Just). The room was spacious and very comfortable. The front desk staff members were very pleasant and accommodating. I especially appreciated Captain's hospitality and the warm cookies were a welcome treat at the end of the day. Well Done!

DO NOT STAY here! The first day of my stay, on the evening of 14th September around 8PM, I found a cockroach in my room and that’s not the worst thing I experienced during my stay. I went down to the reception desk to make a complaint about the cockroach, (along with a slow draining bath tub) and one Mr. Skinner, said, while only looking at his computer screen, “sorry about that, thank you for letting us know”. He offered to send someone to fix the drain issue and it was fixed but that was all. No fix was offered even after I reiterated the problem about the cockroaches. His tone sounded as if to say, “deal with it”. I don’t know if this attitude was due to prejudice in some form, but I wonder if the response would be the same to a local. I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. More with the staff, than the room with the cockroach. My stay is part of a business contract between this hotel and my employer, so I will be duly reporting this incident with evidences to my company. PS: I went through the existing reviews of this hotel and I found that the staff here is notorious for this kind of behaviour and discrimination. Definitely a pattern and shows that the management is lacking basic hospitality values and effort. Sad.
