I came to this Home2 Suites location with my newborn and toddler to attend a family funeral the day after check-in, and it was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
While the front desk staff were friendly, it was clear they were not properly trained. On my first day, they didn’t even know the prices of items I was trying to purchase. Later that evening, starting around 7pm, loud banging noises began so intense it sounded like the ceiling was about to cave in. I’ve stayed at plenty of Hilton hotels before, but I’ve never experienced noise travel like this in my life.
We tried calling the front desk for help(no one answered). We even tried the online portal, still no response. Hours later, we finally reached someone around 11pm, but after the call the noise had gotten even worse and no one was available to assist. It continued until almost 6 am. None of us, not my husband, our toddler, or our newborn got a single hour of sleep. To make things worse, we smelled smoke coming through the vents, which forced us to stay out of the room most of the next day just to breathe comfortably.
Then came the bugs. Not just one, several!!! including one on the pillowcase. When I mentioned seeing multiple bugs, the front desk immediately named the exact type without me ever saying what kind, which tells me this is an ongoing problem they’re already aware of. That’s a serious health and sanitation issue, especially for families with young kids.
The next day after the funeral, I asked to speak with a manager. I was told she’d be in between 9 and 10 am, so I came back at 9:30 the following day, only to be told there was no manager available because the one they have is on maternity leave. No one else could help or even take responsibility. Either I was lied to, or this location has absolutely no structure or accountability.
I left this hotel completely exhausted, uneasy, and disappointed. After all the stress of traveling with a newborn and dealing with a family loss, the lack of professionalism, the noise, the bugs, and the smoke made this stay unbearable. This experience does not reflect Hilton’s usual standards, and I hope corporate steps in to properly address the serious issues happening at this property. We were robbed to pay to sit in discomfort.
