Tru by Hilton Harrisonburg is a clean, safe, and well-managed hotel with great value for the price. The breakfast quality was good and nicely varied, and the overall environment felt secure and very well maintained. Parking was excellent and convenient. The rooms were clean, tidy, and comfortable. Housekeeping is provided every other day, which was fine for our stay. The lobby has a modern, friendly design with bright colors—especially blue tones—that create a welcoming atmosphere. Having a pool table downstairs adds a fun, social touch to the space. Coffee is always available in the lobby, though there is no coffee maker inside the rooms. Check-in was very easy and completely hassle-free. One notable policy is that the hotel does not rent rooms to people with local ZIP codes. This seems to be a smart decision to maintain a healthy, safe environment and prevent misuse for short-term stays. Since this hotel is operated by Hilton, the management and service quality really show. The front desk staff were friendly and professional, and you can communicate with an agent via text message for any issue—responses are quick and helpful. Another big advantage is the price. It’s much more affordable than nearby resort hotels. If you’re planning to visit Massanutten Resort for the indoor water park, skiing, or snow activities, this hotel is a great alternative—you’re only about ten miles away with a short drive. The hotel is also very close to downtown historic Harrisonburg, which makes it a convenient base for exploring the area. Overall, a smart, comfortable, and budget-friendly choice that I would happily stay at again.

Went to the JMU graduation. Everything was good. The only thing I would change is putting carpet on the floor in the rooms. In December a herd wood floor gets cold.

We had a king bed room which was comfortable and quiet. Everything was very clean. In the bathroom, wall dispensers for soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion keep the surfaces tidy. Tru does an excellent job with breakfast: eggs, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal and a variety of bagels and bread. Coffee is excellent, at least by my standards because I like it strong. Overall, it’s a great value.

NOT FOR EV Owners. We picked this as a way stop on the day before Thanksgiving, because we have an EV and they promised EV Chargers. We tried three times and it kept shutting off after a mile or two was charged. We ended up having to go to another place to charge I. The morning, and losing a couple hours of our Thanksgiving. Very disappointed.
