I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and especially Destiny, the GM. I accidentally booked my room for 11/22 instead of 11/15, and didn’t realize it until I arrived with my wife and two boys waiting in the car. Destiny immediately stepped in, took one look at the situation, and handled everything with total professionalism and kindness. Despite the drastically higher rate that night due to the JMU football game, she honored the same rate I originally booked online. That kind of customer service is rare these days, and it made a huge difference for my family. Thank you, Destiny, for going above and beyond. We’ll definitely be staying here again!

You are better off staying at a cheap motel than this location. The assistant general manager had the poorest customer service I have ever seen at a Hilton hotel. He would not allow my wife to check into either of the rooms I had booked (despite having the same last name and credit card in hand). He never attempted to contact me and instead had my family including a newborn and toddler wait in the lobby for me to check in. It then turned out the rooms weren’t even ready despite me already having them checked in on the app. Once we finally got rooms both rooms were dirty to include dirty sheets, floors that were not mopped, and dirty toilets. The manager then made excuses about being shorthanded. We ended up cancelling the rooms and driving home. I contacted Hilton Hotels corporate office who did absolutely nothing to hold anyone accountable and instead sent me a generic response saying they were sorry about the experience. If you want to pay for poor customer service and nasty rooms this is the place for you. Don’t let the new renovation fool you this is nothing more than a cheap motel with “Hilton” slapped over top of it.

BE AWARE OF THIEVES. If I could I would give it a 0 star. I used my employee discount to stay however I wanted to stay 1 more night so when I arrived Payton at the front desk told me it was ok, that she could make an extension. She charged my card for 2 nights and gave me the keys. The next day I went hiking and after a long day I came back at around 7:20 pm, went straight to my room but the key didn't work so I got back to the front desk and to my surprise Nico at the front desk told me the extension of my stay didn't go through so they checked me out and refunded 1 night, so I explained to him I was in room 411 and left my belongings there and that I talked the previous night to Payton and she confirmed the extension, he apologized and said he was going to call the manager to check what happened. He said I had to give him a card so I did it and was charged $115.10 plus $50 for incidentals. I was tired and just wanted to take a shower and change clothes so I said it's ok and he gave me the keys I went again to my room and when I opened my room my belongings were not there, everything was gone (phone, clean clothes, dirty clothes, shoes, makeup, personal stuff, underwear, socks, pijamas and souvenirs). So I called the front desk and told him that my belongings were not in the room so he said he was going to call the manager again. I waited but after a while I went back to the reception and he was on the phone with the manager Destiny so he gave me the phone and I talked to her, she stated that she called the houseman and housekeepers but they said there wasn't anything in the room when they came to clean it so I said they're lying to you because I know I left my stuff in the room and didn't have any changing clothes or anything. So Nico took the phone back and went to look somewhere (I imagine lost and found) so he came back and the only thing that he gave me was a plastic bag with a couple of underwear). I was surprised and said to him, that's all you found? He apologized because I guess he knew it something was going on. So I was trying to be nice and said at this point it's ok I just want the phone back because I need it. The manager stated she was going to verify with the team in the morning and if necessary she will ship my stuff free if charge to my place, I agreed and hung up he call. I went back to my room and I tracked my phone and it showed was in Virginia. The very next day I had to leave early to NC so I called at around 8:42 am, the manager answered the phone and she said she just arrived and if I can call her later, so I agreed. I called back again several times at around 12 or so but she was not at the office according to the person at the front desk who didn't give me her name btw. I called again several times after 1:30 pm and finally James at the front desk picked up the phone and said Destiny was in a video conference and she will call me back. Nobody called me so I called at 3:47 pm and after several attempts Destiny answered the call. She said her "team" stated they didn't see anything in the room when they got in there to clean it, I explained that's not true because it's impossible they did not see my stuff, everything was visible and since I have a good memory I told her exactly where I left each one of my belongings, my phone was my main concern because I knew it for sure I left it in the night table located in the right side. I told her they're lying and someone had my phone because it is still showing the location in Virginia. I was pissed off at this point and told her the houseman and housekeeper who cleaned my room were thieves, I had traveled all over the world and this has never happened to me. She just threatened me with taking off my Hilton membership I said I don't care because the people that are working for you are robbers that's the only name you can give to those people. At the end I lost everything I left in that room just recovered a couple of underwear so SHAME ON YOU.
