My partner and I booked this hotel because it was close to where we were spending the holidays. Very close to a lot of food places/drinks etc. we had a bad experience with housekeeping. We had brought a bag of our Christmas items to our room and I guess they thought it was trash. Had lots of sentimental items, cash and also treats that my niece had picked through before we left the room for the day. We got back and the entire bag was gone.

Horrible... If you like the company of bugs in your room and a train blowing its horn all night then step right up. Stink bugs, lady bugs, spiders and a couple others i couldn't identify. Thanks Hampton.

The A/C unit in my room would not shut off, no matter what I did. I turned off the unit switch and the thermostat, yet it continued blowing air and making loud noise. I reported this to the front desk on Monday night and was told a maintenance request had been submitted. I left for work early Tuesday morning and returned that evening to find that nothing had been addressed. I contacted the front desk again Tuesday night, and a different employee claimed she would submit another request. I left for work Wednesday and came back to the exact same issue. When I complained again Wednesday night, the front desk attendant said he would look into it and call me back—he never did. On top of that, I received a text message asking about my stay and was told that a manager would contact me Wednesday afternoon. No one ever followed up, not even after multiple complaints about the A/C problem. For three nights straight, I was repeatedly woken up either by the constant noise from the unit or because the room became unbearably hot. By Wednesday around midnight, after waking up drenched in heat, I called the front desk and requested a different room. I was told the hotel was sold out. Thankfully, the woman I spoke with Tuesday had created a backup reservation for me in case the issue wasn’t fixed, and only after going back and forth did the employee finally acknowledge it and move me. To make matters worse, the mirror in the room was dirty, and there was no shampoo provided. This was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I’m required to stay here again for work this week, and I’m honestly dreading the possibility of dealing with these same issues again. The lack of follow-through, basic cleanliness, and overall customer service is completely unacceptable.

I traveled to VA for business and was unable to book the hotel that was recommended due to it being sold out. This was the only hotel that was available on the nights I needed and in the area that was suggested to me. I was skeptical after reading the Google reviews, but I didn’t really have a choice due to availability. First impression: the location is nice because there are a lot of restaurants and shopping options within walking distance. The gentleman that checked me in was very friendly and professional. When I initially walked in my room, it looked nice and clean. I was relieved after reading the reviews but unfortunately, the relief did not last long. I ran out to pick up a couple of things and when I got back to the room, I noticed something on the curtains. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was a roach! The gentleman working at the front desk was extremely apologetic and offered to move me to a new room, but the fact is if one room has a roach I can pretty much guarantee that they all do. Thankfully, my company moved me to a different hotel. We don’t have roaches where I live and I know for sure that I am not going to bring them back with me! The gentleman working at the front desk was extremely apologetic. I did mention that he should report this to management because this is truly unacceptable. When traveling you should never see this in your hotel room!!!
