Instead, I was greeted by the strong smell of marijuana right at the entrance. The front desk worker - whose name I caught Malik was outside smoking, and the entire area reeked. To make matters even worse, it seemed like he was promoting it to sell to my husband! He had no uniform on nor name badge, I later called the front desk to get his name. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior for anyone representing a hotel. It made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable before I even got to my room. Management clearly has no control over what goes on here. I will never stay at this location again and highly recommend others avoid it, too. **Have been busy so this is a late review!

He is phenomenal!! His recommendation for dinner was really good...especially the walking and the ability to have a couple of drinks without driving!!! We really enjoyed our stay so much that we booked the room for our Christmas travel from Nashville to Virginia Beach!!! It is the perfect stop for the night.. almost half way point. Again ....thank you Sam for welcoming us to a home away from home! See you during the holidays!!

The hotel is beautiful, breakfast was nice and the women who worked there were super accommodating as well as the front desk❣ I highly recommend this hotel ☆☆☆☆☆

Clean rooms made for extended stay guests, so there were utensils, plates, bowls, cups, etc. Attentive staff from late night check in to early morning check out. Check out is at noon, so for the sleepy folks, this is a perk. Also, our room had a ceiling fan! 😍 Literally the ONLY thing that was less than ideal was the parking lot being shared between two hotels so it was PACKED. But the staff was very helpful in directing us where to park alternatively that was on the property still and in a safe and secure location. But I definitely will be only staying here when I come back. GO HOKIES! 🦃
