The first time I stayed in this hotel, it was new and I loved it. It was clean and didnt smell like pot everywhere. The past 2 times we have stayed at this location the receptionist smelled like pot, the whole entire hotel smelled like pot including elevator and the parking area. There is a sign that says no smoking abd the pit smell is awful. Im not sure it is even safe for kids to stay at tgis hotel. And you can clearly see that they dont even bother changing the bedsheets.
It is clearly not family friendly at all.

Heater made clinking noise all night. No offer to switch rooms. Scared my dog, couldn’t sleep it was so loud. Only gave partial refund even though front desk says full refund at front desk if they can’t fix problem. Said they gave me a “bunch “ of points on my Hilton account. When asked how many points they couldn’t specify… will never use that hotel again. I hope Hilton themselves will make this right.

We brought our family of 4 to Chesapeake for a quick getaway. We have a 12 year old and 17 year old. When we arrived we got there before check in time. Room wasn’t ready but we said we wanted to go get lunch. They got us checked in quickly and were so friendly. When we returned 2 hours later after shopping at a near by small shopping center. The room was ready. We went upstairs got 2 king rooms and shortly after received a call saying they could put our kids in a queen room so they didn’t have to share a king bed. We were so grateful and so were our kids. The rooms were very clean and had all the necessities you needed. There was a small mini fridge, no microwave (but we didn’t need it) beds were very comfortable, pillows a little too soft for my liking but overall really nice. They offer games and a pool table downstairs in the lobby. You can even log into your own personal accounts and watch it on the large TVs. Everything was so close by and the staff is willing to make suggestions. They even have a wall full of locations to go. There is a lot around you driving distance about 1-2 miles for food and shopping. You can even walk across the street to some shops. We have really enjoyed our stay and when we come back we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed the Tru hotel over Thanksgiving weekend. We were very excited because it new and in a great location. The customer service was pretty good. The room was a little small, The sheets on the bed was very thin. I tried to adjust the heat on the wall and it didn’t work. I had to use the floor unit to adjust the heat. My room was very cold. I asked for extra blanket, but they didn’t have any. She gave me an extra sheet. Next We stayed there for three nights and no one came to clean our room or take out the trash until The second day after asking your front desk, if they could come clean our room. Once we return back to the room, they did not make the bed or anything. They only took out the trash and gave us new towels. They didn’t even take out the old towels and washcloths. Otherwise, the hotel was clean, the customer service that’s great, The gym was nicebut asked for the maintenance can use a little bit more help.
