    This place is an absolute dump! I let the front desk know there was no hot water, and they did a late cancellation and charged me for the room. Sink leaked all over the floor, mold in the bathroom, and extremely bad smell.

    This is my 2nd time staying here and everyone is friendly, helpful,and very professional. The rooms are clean, service is great, and they're located in a very good area. I will be a regular customer and I'm thankful to experience the amazing receptionist that work here also. I love staying here.

    I don't often write reviews of businesses, but I hope this one gets the attention of the owners and managers of this property. Over the years I have often stayed at Hampton Inns and they have always been a good mix between comfortable and affordable. However, this particular property has seen its better years. First off, the check in process was smooth and easy. Other than the fact that the front desk staff was talking so fast it sounded like she was speaking a different language and acting like she was ready to get off and go do whatever, it was fine. When we got into the room, the first thing I noticed was the arm chair in the corner with a broken leg. Next when I went to the bathroom, I found 2 out of the 5 towel holders were falling off the wall as their anchors had pulled through the drywall. There were no facial tissues or paper towels in the room. And there was an obvious damp smell, but no signs of moisture issues. This property needs to be inspected and issues addressed as they will give the brand a bad name. Please don't get me started on the pathetic breakfast options. Do better!

    Cynthia was awesome! Great service and got us checked in fast. Me and my wife stayed here one night after watching football games over in Norfolk (a place called Waterside) not too far from this hotel is the ferry you can take to get there. Everything was awesome save the water smell when you first enter the establishment and the very thin walls that the guests next to us seemed to be unaware of. Needless to say they cooled off before 8:00pm so had no need to call front desk. Weary traveler beware, it might not be the best night sleep here.

    After my experience, with the rude and incompetent front desk, I'm so happy I dodged a bullet, and did not stay at this hotel. I had made a reservation through Expedia that had a free cancellations and had cancelled 2 days prior and was calling the hotel, as a courtesy, because they were still sending emails that indicated the hotel had me listed as an incoming guest, even though I cancelled the reservation. When I called the owner/ manager lied and said that I had a "no cancellation reservation". I told them I had cancelled with Expedia, two days beforehand, and that I did indeed had a reservation that could be canceled, without a fee, and that they should know by now that the reservation was canceled and that I do not owe them anything. The person was very rude, and when I insisted that she adjust the booking info, to reflect that our reservation was canceled or for her to check, because Expedia must have notified the hotel about our cancellation, she then hung up on me. After this experience, I would never again consider staying at this hotel.
