The room size is what makes this hotel worth the negatives. I love the separate sleeping area and the kitchenette (though I have never used it on any of my trips). Separate tv area makes for happier people. The feee breakfast is standard but good. The place is clean and welcoming.
Only issue is the location is so far from the downtown area. It is walkable but you need to be willing to do that multiple times a day if you have no car. Parking is $20 for the garage a night or if you are willing, free street parking right outside of the hotel.
I really like the place and would choose this location for comfort

I have never received my email to be able to review this property, in which I rented two rooms recently, so I wanted to reach out and let you know my personal experience. The check in was smooth but seemed confusing for the front desk that we had two separate rooms. They gave no instructions as to where the elevator was, the terms of the breakfast, or hours of the outside deck which I was thrown off by... And I never even knew there was a bar until the final day of checking out, in which I would have enjoyed. The reason why I went with a Hilton instead of an Air BnB was because of the breakfast one one less meal I needed to pay for our family. The first morning we went down there and everything was gone first thing besides the terrible looking eggs. We went back to our room and figured we would check back after a bit but still there was nothing. I ended up going to Trader Joes and bought bagels and such for the next few mornings in which I was able to get cream cheese for one of the days. The 28th they actually had a putting in which my husband tried and he said it was absolutely terrible and would not eat it. The last morning there I went to ask for butter and cream cheese and was told by the employee that he had none of either and that they were basically out of all food besides what was out, which was eggs and hashbrowns, due to his boss not allowing him to purchase anything. Going up on the elevator there were many other people complaining of their issues and claiming 'this place is a disgrace to the Hilton name.' Not once was our room cleaned, trash taken out, or coffee refilled even though there was a sign stating they clean and restock every other day. I had to flag a housekeeper down at one point in order to have our trash taken out which was overflowing. I have never made a bad review when it comes to a Hilton but I definitely feel as if this facility was an exception due to the lack of professionalism and unavailability of supplies.

It was my second time and I must say that the quality has gone down drastically.
The breakfast service, which was included in the rate, was so disappointing. Each morning throughout my stay (Saturday and Sunday) I came to the lobby around 9am and to my surprise on both days there was little to no options available, with most trays empty. No bagels, no muffins or pastries, coffee was weak and lukewarm, and there was no fresh fruit.
In addition, the coffee machine in my room was very dirty so I didn’t feel confident making my own coffee. The TV in the room also had no service (Directv). Worth noting as well, I could hear every footstep from the room next door and above, and the AC/heater unit was very noisy.
Other than that, the room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Also, the front desk staff was super welcoming, professional, and super friendly.

We were at the Crystal Inn in Murray, UT. After one night we decided to check out, and got a great deal at Homewood Suits by Hilton in downtown SLC. Our room is without chemical smell, is clean, and bed is firm with large pillows. We are in a king studio room. Layout is awesome with kitchen options, and the bathroom is spacious. The parking is okay for an extra $20 dollars per night. Other wise first come first serve and probably 20-25 spots at most. If this place sucked we would have rebooked based on parking alone.

Hi, I'll try to keep this short and sweet. I've been dealing with a hotel stay dispute since August that involved threatening behavior from a homeless person in their lobby and parking garage security issues. This was at the Homewood Suites - Salt Lake City Downtown. There is a big homeless issue in this area and hotel management will not address it. We checked out early after one night as any sane person would, but were charged for all 5 nights. Hilton customer service did not provide a fair resolution despite the serious issue in the lobby. And, I'm a Hilton Diamond member (1000+ nights). Would expect much better customer support.
