Location is nice for down town stuff. But the hotel staff sucks big time. Also for some reason you can’t use the app for getting parking. You have to fill out by hand a piece of paper that they put in a computer anyway. This is after you wander into the back of kitchen to find someone to check you in. No one at the desk for 30 minutes, also they took down the manger on duty name. I could have robbed them blind. I called 6 or 7 times. Never got a call back. This place is terrible. Also doing the pre check in charged me 2 incidentals. I guess that’s why the room was suspiciously cheap. Normally I love Hilton. But not this place. Never again. Hopefully I get my incidentals back. Everything about Checking in screamed suspicious to me.

This place would be great how ever the lack of communication and the fact that they turned the lights and grill off while we were cooking. Luckily after we called they came to correct but still was very u pleasant and unwarned as to times and utilities that were needed half way through cooking dinner.

Other than the room not being cleaned very well this hotel was in a great location in walking distance to alot of fun stuff to do and places to eat. Hotel staff was great. Pool is outdoors though so not usable during the colder months.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Homewood Suites Downtown Utah. Despite booking and fully prepaying for my stay over two months in advance for my stay (September 6–10, 2025), my confirmed reservation was not honored when I arrived. The front desk told me the hotel was sold out and could not accommodate me — even though I had a valid Hilton confirmation number that matched their records.
After spending hours trying to resolve the issue, I was sent to a much lower quality hotel that was far from my conference venue and not comparable in quality, location, or amenities. I had no other choice but to accept the relocation because there were no other suitable hotels available that night due to the conference. We tried calling all the hotels downtown. This caused significant inconvenience, added Uber expenses, and unnecessary stress during an important professional event. Icing on the cake was that I asked if they can at least accommodate the Uber to the relocation and we were declined.
No one from Hilton or the hotel reached out in advance to inform me of the issue, even though my booking had been confirmed for over two months. I’ve since spent more than five hours speaking with Hilton and my credit card company trying to resolve the situation.
I expected much better from Hilton. Is it not Hilton's policy that if you cannot honor the reservation that we are entitled to a full refund? This experience was frustrating, time-consuming, and unacceptable for a loyal customer who planned ahead. I am still waiting for a full refund and compensation for the inconvenience caused.
