Probably the best Hilton Garden Inn I've ever stayed in and I travel quite a bit. The rooms are nice, friendly staff, and an impressive lobby.

Dec 15, 2025 - Delta gave me a room in Hampton Inn due to flight delays, and Hampton told me Hilton Garden Inn shuttle is going to pick me up. Quite reasonable huh, both are Hilton. So when I saw the shuttle, I asked, and the driver refused me saying he only drive to Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites. Ok, seems that there might be some misunderstandings. So I called Hampton Inn again, and they assured me that Hilton Garden Inn shuttle is the right one to take. Oh so I understood correctly? So I waited again for 30 minutes, and when he came again, I asked again. Then he became very inpatient and rude, saying things like “No, I don’t have contract with Hampton, don’t you understand? Do you understand what I’m saying? I’m not taking you. Ask them!” At last me and other gentlemen (who doesn’t even speak English, so imagine if I was not there with him and he had to deal with this shii by himself) - after waiting for 1 hour and lost our patience we had to take a Uber. So yes, if you are staying here (or Homewood Suites), maybe you need to get ready for such kind of shuttle service to start you stay.

Ah, the venerable Hilton, where nostalgia meets black mold. The room, bless its heart, is really holding on to its glory days like a 90s sitcom star. The shower? Let’s just say it’s got *extra seasoning* in the corners.
When hunger struck, I thought I’d charge some snacks to my room. Silly me! The front desk cheerfully redirected me to a self-checkout station currently held hostage by a family debating their snack choices as if they were negotiating a peace treaty. Meanwhile, I’m there just wanting to buy my sad little snack.
As for the digital key...oh, the digital key! Check-in was at 3:00, but apparently, my phone and the door needed some couples therapy first. After multiple “error” messages, the front desk encouraged me to “restart my Bluetooth,” which I guess means “fix it yourself.” In the end, the humble plastic keycard saved the day...take that, technology.
To be fair, the staff were delightful, just trapped in a crumbling system that’s clearly held together by optimism and expired software licenses.
Their parting gift are paint dots on the sidewalls of all 4 of my newly washed tires. Not on the tread. On the sidewall... never again.
This makes two Hiltons in a row that have me scratching my head and wondering if my Honors membership should retire alongside their plumbing.

Found this gem on an unintended layover. I chose this Hotel for its close proximity and 24 hour complimentary airport shuttle service. The front desk Team member was very professional, pleasant, and presented a "I love my job" personality. The next morning my experiences with the early morning front desk, and shuttle driver were equally enjoyable. Overall my stay was short, but the time I was there, it was obvious from looking at how the day to day maintenance operations of the facility, that the Team members who work here have the same goals and professional as those Team member I was fortunate to encounter. Thank you Team Hilton Garden Inn for turning an unexpected SLC delay into a pleasant experience.
