    We had an 8 night stay over the holidays. After 4 days we noticed lots of little bugs on the bathroom floor mat. My daughter saw them and screamed. It grossed me out. I called the front desk and they said they would come up right away. I waited and no one came so I went downstairs where two gals were at the front desk. They were who I spoke to and hadn’t left yet. Surprise. I asked for a new room. Different floor. They said they couldn’t give me a new floor but gave me another room like two rooms down. Inspected it. Still more bugs in the bathroom. Not as many but just as gross. I went back and told my husband. I was frustrated and grossed out. He got another room but the door was chipped upon entry and it felt ghetto. No bugs in this bathroom but I couldn’t stay there any longer. My husband went downstairs and asked to cancel our reservation and get refunded for the unused nights. Hindsight a refund of our stay or a heavy discount for the nights we stayed would have been appreciated. Will not stay in this hotel again. My kids and husband enjoyed the pool, gym. Breakfast was fine. Gentleman working the front desk was pleasant. Beds not super comfortable. Noisy guests. At 1am one night I was woken up by super loud guests in the hallway. I got up and asked them to be quiet. Was not told it was a pet friendly hotel when we booked. Bugs get a 1 star.

    Beware of hidden damage charges!! Stayed here one night and then found what was billed as an additional room charge. Upon calling the hotel was informed that we were billed for an ottoman that hotel claimed we had damaged. Requested information to validate their claim (photos, incident report, etc.) which I was told would be sent to me immediately. Nothing was sent. Called back 2 days later and front desk associate forwarded me 2 photos that were supposedly the 'before' and 'after' pictures they had as "evidence". The "before" picture was of the top and side and the "after" picture was taken of the back showing the rip in the fabric. Called back to speak with GM and left a message on their personal VM. No response. Opened a formal complaint with Hilton and they attempted to connect me with GM. Complaint received no response or follow through. Finally, I issued a dispute with my credit card company and hotel finally responded denying the charge back stating that their housekeeper had taken the photos and head of housekeeping had reviewed the damage the day we departed. My issue with the hotel is not being charged for damages, if we truly damaged the ottoman I would gladly pay to replace. The issue is the broken process. No follow up with me to let me know of the damages - just charging my card hoping I might not notice. Billing it as an additional room charge instead of specifying the nature of the charge. No incident report that could tie that ottoman and damage to our stay - there were no time stamps, no actual before and after photos, no way for the guest to know that was actually the same room. The lack of a formal investigation procedure opens the door for the hotel to charge a guest for whatever they want with no recourse for the guest as it becomes a "he said/she said" dispute. The biggest disappointment was the utter lack of customer service, and cowardice, displayed by the GM and Director of Operations in addressing this with me. There was no response to any inquiry that I made and then they waited until the eleventh-hour to respond to the charge back. If you stay here make sure that you document the condition of your room with videos and pictures!
