The Avenue Hotel truly made my stay in New York exceptional. The room was close to perfect — stylish, quiet, beautifully designed, and with an outstanding view of the Empire State Building. Especially in the evening, the view was absolutely breathtaking. I also really appreciated the complimentary drinks and the overall atmosphere throughout the hotel.
What makes this hotel truly special, however, is the staff. Every single employee was consistently warm, attentive, and incredibly kind. At no point did I feel like “just another guest” — the service felt genuinely personal and welcoming.
The few points of criticism are really meant only as constructive suggestions: Before my arrival, I sent three emails with questions regarding my booking and to the concierge, but unfortunately I never received a reply. In addition, the concierge was unable to secure a reservation on short notice for a restaurant I had originally inquired about almost two months in advance.
Another small point: after 5 PM, the hotel bar is only accessible to hotel guests with a reservation. While understandable, it is a little disappointing if you simply want to stop by spontaneously for a drink.
Overall, though, this is very clearly a 10/10 experience for me. A beautiful and stylish hotel with exceptional service, wonderful rooms, and a view you will not forget. The few criticisms mentioned above do not change the fact that I would gladly stay here again anytime.

Where do I even begin? My mother and I stayed at the The Fifth Avenue Hotel for a birthday/Mother’s Day getaway, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. We were warmly greeted by Erion at the door, who was incredibly kind and welcoming from the start. What truly stood out was his generosity after checkout; on a rainy Sunday afternoon, he personally escorted my mother and me, along with all of our luggage, all the way to the train station. Such a thoughtful gesture that we’ll never forget.
Michelle at the front desk is an absolute gem! Her warmth and genuine kindness during check-in immediately made us feel at home and set the tone for a wonderful stay.
During our visit, we spent time at the Portrait Bar, where we met Zoe and the incredible Chu. Chu’s attentiveness and intuition were truly impressive, when I ordered drinks for both my mother and myself, she instinctively suggested and crafted a different cocktail specifically for my mom, and it ended up being her favorite. That level of personalized service was so special. Zoe also made me some fabulous Kochis (cocktail)!
Saturday morning was my mother’s birthday, and we celebrated with brunch at Café Carmellini. We were seated overlooking the treetops, which my mom absolutely loved. Lola, our server, did a fantastic job making the occasion feel truly special. A special thank you as well to Minnie for being so sweet and for taking beautiful photos of my mother and me.
Overall, we had the most wonderful stay, and it was entirely thanks to the incredible team we encountered throughout our visit. The hospitality here is genuine, thoughtful, and unforgettable. We cannot wait to return.
I really love this place. High end, luxurious. Rooms are beautiful. But the real story here is the staff and management. Bellhops, reception team, restaurant staff all remember your name. Take time to chat and learn your preferences. Highly recommend.

Some hotels are beautiful. Some have great service. It’s rare to find one that does both at this level.
Our stay at The Fifth Avenue Hotel was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, Michelle at the front desk set the tone: warm, sharp, and genuinely welcoming. Karys went above and beyond in curating our stay and making everything feel seamless. Katie in guest services was equally impressive, always responsive and thoughtful. Huge thanks as well to Todd, the hotel manager. It’s clear he is leading something very special here.
The butler service was another standout. Refined, attentive, and genuinely helpful without ever feeling intrusive. The included minibar was also such a thoughtful touch. It made the room feel generous and genuinely guest-focused.
The hotel itself is unforgettable. In a world where so many luxury hotels have gone minimal, neutral, and almost interchangeable, The Fifth Avenue Hotel embraces maximalism with real class. The design is layered, rich, bold, and full of character, but never tacky or overdone. Every space feels intentional.
Portrait Bar deserves its own mention. It has exactly the kind of atmosphere you hope to find in New York: elegant, intimate, beautifully designed, and full of character.
And the scent is incredible. Fresh, green, and refined. You notice it the moment you walk in, and somehow it becomes part of the memory of the stay.
The service here isn’t just polished. It’s intuitive. We felt genuinely taken care of the entire time.
This will absolutely be our hotel whenever we’re in New York, and we’ll be recommending it to everyone we know.
