  My mom and I were planning on staying here when my daughter's band went to state for band. My mom booked and prepaid ahead of time. 15 minutes before check in time my mom received a text message from the hotel stating they were overbooked for that day, and moved us to another hotel for the night, told my mom she would be getting a full refund. Tru by Hilton Waco South lied to her, said they will send a check and never did. Then when my mom tried to dispute the charges on her card, True by Hilton Waco South told me credit card company that my mom canceled the stay, which is not true at all.

  Stayed here for one night to visit a friend, but unfortunately this will likely be my only stay. The hotel itself is in a great area with plenty of shopping and food options, and the staff were very nice. However, the room had several issues that made the stay uncomfortable. The biggest problem was the bed. It was extremely uncomfortable you could feel the springs, the mattress dipped noticeably on one side, and it felt very old and thin, almost like a pull-out mattress. I didn’t discover this until late at night since it was a quick drop-my-bags-and-go situation, otherwise I would have asked to switch rooms. I ended up having one of the worst nights of sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel and woke up with back pain. I also found hair in the bed that wasn’t mine, which made me question whether the sheets had been properly changed. The AC kept switching from cool to fan on its own, so I kept waking up feeling hot. On top of that, there was a noticeable stain on the seat under the TV, which made the room feel like it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. Overall, due to the lack of sleep and multiple room issues, I would choose a different hotel next time especially since there are plenty of options in the area. In the photos and videos, you can see how much the mattress dips, which clearly indicates it needs to be replaced.

  Overall I liked this hotel. The room was very small, but that was ok for this stay. The floors are tile or vinyl so I feel like it’s cleaner than carpet. There’s a nice work desk, and ambient lighting. The bathroom is nicely designed and the showers had great pressure! Friendly staff. The location is awkward and kind of hard to get to within the marketplace where it’s located. Would return again.

  Hands down ZERO stars for Service . The front desk took forever to check us in . She was more interested in her phone than a CUSTOMER . THE BREAKFAST IS DISGUSTING! I was gone till 4pm for work and they never cleaned my room, guess they don’t care. Tried to talk to manager but he was clueless as the rest of the staff ! All in all yes it’s clean but LAZY STAFF ! Very VERY LAZY !
