Title: Extremely Disappointing Stay Due to Unprofessional Staff
I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Vernon, Texas, and it was one of the worst Hampton Inn experiences I have ever had, primarily due to the front desk receptionist.
From the very beginning of our check-in, the receptionist was incredibly mean to us. Her behavior and manner were completely unprofessional and not at all what I expect from a brand like Hampton Inn. Throughout our stay, every time she looked at us in the lobby, I felt a palpable sense of hostility and hate from her, which made us feel extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable.
Later in the evening, we called the front desk to ask for extra pillows, as we were traveling with our two kids. Her response was shocking. She claimed there was only one extra pillow in the entire hotel and stated that she was not able to have it delivered to our room. We were told we had to go down to the front desk to pick it up ourselves.
This level of service is unacceptable. The awful treatment from the staff, combined with the lack of basic amenities and service, made this a miserable stay. I am truly sorry for the manager of this hotel, who seems unable to recognize or address such unprofessional and hostile behavior from their staff.

I was very ill when I arrived…the girl at the front desk brought me water and was patient, waiting until I could function. I’d already gotten the room on the internet, so fortunately it wasn’t much trouble. The room was so very comfortable and nice…
