I haven’t even checked in yet but I’ve been calling the hotel with a question and as I’ve called throughout the day yesterday absolutely no one picked up-not even a voice recording. I have to say I’m nervous about staying there.

Been staying at this location since it’s close to the doctors office. The hotel is being renovated which it was well due for a couple of years. I’m a Hilton Gold member and experienced something that never had happened to me at any Hilton location. We arrived at noon and was told I couldn’t check in early unless I wanted to pay an early check-in fee so that tells me the room was ready Management just was going to make more money by charging the fee. However I went on line and was able to check in and was told the front desk would issue me a key so I went back to the front desk and told the clerk on duty I’m checked in and needed a key. She looked at me with this puzzled look then reviewed her computer shook her head and then issued me a key.

Situated right next to Interstate 69, Hampton Inn Stafford is a comfortable hotel conveniently located to the sights and attractions of Southwest Houston. It’s a three- story hotel with a few amenities like an indoor pool, fitness center, etc. and it offers free parking. I stayed at this hotel over the weekend when there was a concert playing at Smart Financial Center in nearby Sugar Land. The check- in was good, and I like that they have microwaveable food items available for immediate purchase, which you can then prepare quickly in your room. With the rooms, I stayed in a room with a single king bed. The room wasn’t very large, but it was good enough for the two of us. There is a refrigerator and microwave oven in each room, which is nice. The heat/air was easily adjustable, and it didn’t take much effort to get the temperature just right. The room could have been cleaned better- I noticed areas in the bathroom that were not as clean as they should be, but for the most part, the rooms are adequate. One of the best features of this hotel is its location. There are several restaurants within a short walking distance, among them IHOP, Bombshells, Pappadeaaux Seafood Kitchen, Hooters, and others. And since you are right next to the freeway, it doesn’t take long to get places. Breakfast is part of the package deal, too, which is always a plus. The food is self- serve and includes sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, etc. Nothing fancy, but again, it’s included in the price of the stay, so it works for me. This Hampton Inn is a little bit outdated, and I admit that I have stayed at other Hampton locations that were better. But overall, this is an adequate hotel and it served my needs well as a place of quick refuge following a live concert. I'm going to give it 3 stars, but 3.5 is more accurate.

The rooms are out dated and stale. The carpet is dark and old throughout the hotel. The pool area has rust and mold. The beds are extremely uncomfortable.

The bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept in at a hotel in a while. This is my second stay here.
