From the moment we checked in, this stay was terrible. The front desk clerk was rude and didn’t even acknowledge that I’m an IHG Rewards member. She asked for my ID and payment, then told me they didn’t accept my card — even though it’s the same one I’ve used here before. When I asked for a manager, she called the “sales manager.” She didn’t smile once and acted like I was bothering her. After looking at my past stays, she finally said they’d accept my card as a “one-time courtesy.” Not once did anyone say “thank you for being an IHG member.”
When we got to our room, it was stuffy because the AC had been left off. That night we heard weird noises near the fridge but didn’t think much of it. The next day when we came back, a tiny mouse ran across the floor from the kitchen area and disappeared into a hole under the AC unit. I went straight to the front desk to report it — the clerk didn’t apologize, just looked embarrassed and said she’s “never seen mice here” and had “been here a year.” She gave us a new room but again, no apology.
The second room seemed fine at first until I went to brush my teeth and saw a cockroach in the sink. I even took a picture. There was a hole between the counter and sink where it came from. I tried to just move on since it was late and our two little ones (1 and almost 2 years old) were already fussy from having to switch rooms.
The next morning, I woke up to three roaches on the headboard. Disgusting. Breakfast was okay but the same as always, and three of the plates we picked up were dirty with dried beans still on them.
I called the front desk later because I didn’t even feel like dealing with them face-to-face after how we were treated. The staff never greets guests — no “hi,” no “welcome back,” nothing. I asked to speak to the manager and was told she (Jennifer) wouldn’t be in until after 10:30. I asked for a call back but never got one. When I called again at 2:30, they said she had already left and that she wasn’t even the front desk manager — she was the sales manager. I was told the GM, Vincent, would call me, but of course, no one ever did.
Overall, this hotel has terrible service, rude staff, dirty rooms, and zero customer care. Between the mouse, roaches, and poor management, it’s absolutely unacceptable for an IHG property. I will not be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
