We got this place because it looks nice in the pics of their site. They fail to let you know it’s currently under construction. There is dust everywhere. The lobby is currently filled with construction items and has plastic covering the entrance to it. The elevators are filthy for the construction. The makeshift breakfast area is also very dirty. If you’re a light sleeper don’t stay here. You can literally hear every car passing by. Oh yeah, the train blaring the horn twice in the middle of the night. The elevators was having trouble operating. I can keep going but I think I make my point. I even let management know about how bad it was. He said that the main contractor is not here so the workers pretty much do whatever.
The employees were nice though. Maybe when they finish remodeling it will be a better experience

As a Hilton diamond member, I stay at many Hilton properties. I am usually very happy with Hampton properties in general. This hotel should have done one of two things; either put in big red letters on the reservation page that they are going through major renovations, or just keep it closed until renovations are further along. This was a miserable stay. The renovations make it look like a skeleton of a property. The rooms are in disarray and disrepair. Few things worked such as lamps, light switches, plumbing, etc. This is San Antonio, Texas, which even in early October temperatures can be in the high 90s, and there is not a single working ice machine on the entire property. I even came to the front desk and asked if there was someway to get ice and she just shook her head now. Pieces of the wall in the hallways were cut out with wires hanging out. Room numbers looked like they were masking tape and sharpie, and the elevators were nothing but cardboard pieces over all sides. I understand properties need to be renovated, but this one was being gutted all the while charging people full price to stay there. I almost never give a Hilton property a bad review, but this one was beyond bad.
