Our in-suite kitchens have full-sized fridges for plenty of food and drinks, and pets are always welcome.

- KRKelly RouthOct 29, 20254.0Overall, our stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton Rowlett Rockwall Marina was comfortable, with spacious rooms that made it very convenient for an extended stay or for travelers who like a little extra space. The location is great — right by the marina, with nice views and easy access to nearby restaurants and the lake. However, there were a few issues that stood out. The breakfast was the same every day, which got repetitive after a while. When we arrived, dishes were still in the dishwasher, and there were no dish soap or sponges provided, which made it inconvenient to clean up. The biggest issue was the strong smell throughout the hotel — we noticed it immediately upon entering and again in our room. We discovered it came from a plug-in air freshener that was so overpowering it gave us a headache. After unplugging it, we realized it was covering up a much worse odor, possibly from animals or urine, which was really unpleasant. With some attention to cleanliness and odor control, this property could easily move from good to great. Despite the issues, the room size and location were definite positives that made the stay manageable.

Paid for the room on hilton.com and when we got to the hotel was told they do not have any availability even though we already paid for the room. The woman at the front desk claimed someone was on the website and booked the room at the exact same time as me and even though my booking went through, so did their's. They said they would cancel the booking the next morning and refund the money. What a racket and total waste of time. Had to find another hotel at 9 pm.
