Carmen was the manager that day and she gets a five-star rating! She went beyond what was expected to help us and make our stay pleasant. I strongly recommend for you to choose this Home2 Suites if you’re in the area.

Service was mediocre. We requested a room refresh the morning of our second day, but we came back that evening to find that the request was not completed. The free breakfast was mediocre, but I was not expecting anything amazing. The price of the room was the best thing about it. I would stay here again. The area around the hotel is decent. I did not have any kind of uneasy feeling. I used this hotel for a good night's sleep at a very good price, and that is exactly what I received.

The location is great — right by the marina, with nice views and easy access to nearby restaurants and the lake. However, there were a few issues that stood out. The breakfast was the same every day, which got repetitive after a while. When we arrived, dishes were still in the dishwasher, and there were no dish soap or sponges provided, which made it inconvenient to clean up. The biggest issue was the strong smell throughout the hotel — we noticed it immediately upon entering and again in our room. We discovered it came from a plug-in air freshener that was so overpowering it gave us a headache. After unplugging it, we realized it was covering up a much worse odor, possibly from animals or urine, which was really unpleasant. With some attention to cleanliness and odor control, this property could easily move from good to great. Despite the issues, the room size and location were definite positives that made the stay manageable.
