Palestine is a charming Texas city, with the feel of the deep south. The city offers a variety of restaurants, restored Victorian homes, yards and parks filled with magnolia and dogwood trees, Texas State Railroad, museums and numerous attractions. The Hampton Inn and Suites Palestine is located on Business Loop 256, close to shopping and numerous restaurants.
In addition, downtown buildings display architecture from the early 1800s and are filled with specialty shops, antique stores and unique merchandise. Old Town adds to the mix with relaxed atmosphere and fun-filled shopping.
As the soft breezes whisper through the tall pines and dogwoods, you may hear the whistle of a distant train. Often called the Iron Horse, but better known as the Texas State Railroad, the train makes weekend excursions through the splendor of the countryside and a step back in time as visitors are transported to a time when the steam engine was the ruler of transportation.
In the heart of the city is the world famous Eilenberger's Bakery, offering for 100 years, old world recipe cakes, cookies and pastries. Or if festivals are your forte, then check out the Fall Fest/Oktoberfest (formerly Hot Pepper Fest) or Dogwood Trails Festivals, or any one of the numerous events occurring throughout the year.

Tell me you have problems without telling me you have problems!!! Oh my goodness, my room door just kept opening despite me shutting and locking it. Just watch the video. Multiple days my personal items were left in an unlocked room. The first night i got out of the shower to an open room, and assumed jt was my fault that i just didn’t shut it correctly, but no. This happened repeatedly. Super scary. I finally figured it out and got it on video. The hotel was dirty, very dirty. They did not change soap daily. I had to ask multiple times for more soap to be placed the next day, never done. The hotel was in disorder. There was furniture outside sitting in the lawn from the day I got there for an entire week. It makes me feel unsafe there… like is there a bed bug problem? Why are you leaving furniture outside all week. Very very very alarming. The front desk staff were very nice, but there are MAJOR problems at this hotel.

Spent the night here for a work trip. The lobby was decorated with beautiful Christmas trees and music playing. No weird cigarette smell and everything seemed cleaned.
Lanita (hopefully I’m spelling that correctly) had the best hospitality. She answered all my questions and was the sweetest host I’ve ever encountered at any Hampton inn. Lanita was absolutely amazing she made my whole morning I immediately came to my room to write this review about her!

THIS PLACE IS INFESTED WITH STINK BEETLES. So I come to Palestine every year for the Polar Express. This year I walked into my room and there were stink beetles all over the place. I went to get my room switched and the front desk lady was absolutely no help. Said they didn’t have any other rooms and that I could call management on Monday. Sad, sad news for anyone considering coming here. I reiterate, DO NOT COME HERE AS ITS INFESTED.

I booked and paid$190 for a room for my daughter and family. It was stated to be a king and sofa bed for 2 adults and 2 children. It was an evening check-in and when they got to the room it was a king bed only. The front desk was like "I don't know what to tell you" . They had no other rooms available.
In the end they had to take the oldest child to her grandma's to stay. They couldn't even get an extra pillow for the youngest that stayed with the adults .
The pool was closed indefinitely which had we know would have picked elsewhere.
It's ridiculous that I paid that much to not get what I was told I was paying for. I looked and made sure I wasn't mixed up in my booking. It was room #221 for reference.
People make mistakes but when they don't acknowledge them or try to do right and are rude I have no patience for that. Now I nor any family or I know anybody won't stay at this hotel again.

This place doesn't even deserve 1 start
My family of 4 decided to stay there for the first time the service was horrible!! I have never understood why the service from this hotel's are so bad 👎🏻 our room have a toilet problem the worst part was that when we show up and we let the lady In front desk know that our toilet wasn't flossing she laughed and said this happened with the family that stay there before you guys!!!
Why would you give a room to us that you already know have issues and maintenance haven't fix !!!!!
We left to go to our christmas show and by the time we came back that same lady handled to my husband tge TOILET PLUNGER ... that toilet have a worse problem she expects my husband to fix it he nicely took it try to work in the toilet but couldn't fix anything we try to call tge lady she doesn't answer we have 2 little kids with us
We literally have to use the restroom downstairs we definitely wouldn't never stay there again
The problem was that the water was coming up all the way up instead of go down that Pic it was the first try just right the water came all the way up that was nasty the whole room was smelling like pee!
