The hotel staff was accommodating to my group of guests for my son’s 9th birthday. We are having a great time so far enjoying the pool for a family friendly staycation/birthday celebration.

Was a Vendor (Blossoms by Shelby) last Sunday for the ETX Wedding Extravaganza. Staff at the Hotel were extremely accommodating, I was in need of some batteries and the Manager helped me out… lovely hotel, extremely clean and the fireplaces were on and cozy

The Longview Hampton Inn definitely had character. My first room looked like it had been gently previewed — someone had already blessed the toilet with a light “refresh,” and a bed was just disheveled enough to whisper, “someone definitely sat here.” Luckily, the receptionist was so sweet she could’ve been bottled and sold as pancake syrup, and she moved me to a spotless room in seconds. The digital key didn’t work because the hotel apparently skipped several centuries of door technology. The elevator had mud clumps and an aroma that felt spiritually offensive. And the pool/whirlpool room? That smelled like the inside of a canned fish factory during peak season. At that point, it wasn’t a pool — it was a seafood boil waiting for its next victim. That door needed a hazmat sign and a priest. And yet—despite the prehistoric hardware and the eau de anchovy spa vibes—this stay was STILL better than my last Hilton experience at a shiny, new Home2 in Burleson. That place had fewer issues but enough staff attitude to power the state of Texas. Longview, on the other hand, proved that kindness at the front desk can single-handedly redeem an entire building.
