Kemah is a great spot for families, with plenty of activities to keep kids entertained. The theme park is decent, the area feels lively, and parking is generally easy to find. Overall, it’s a very nice place to spend the day. Just keep in mind — despite the name, it’s not an actual beach area. It’s more of a waterfront entertainment district than a place for swimming or relaxing on the sand.

I hate to give this place a mid rating, but it's days of glamor and family fun experiences are slowly deteriorating away and I guess you can blame the salt water on some of it. Half the rides are either no longer operational or broken down for the day. The price points seem to get higher, but over all park quality continues to decline. I'd rather a gas station hot dog over one that's been sitting preheated in these food trailers. I stopped by one of the restaurants and had to find a waiter to assist me. I felt like I was disturbing their day asking for service. I feel the owners of this boardwalk need to hit the reset button and update the park and amenities before it's too late.

This place has so many things to do. The little train perfect for kids and families. Excellent food, boardwalk games, live entertainment on many many weekends, and of course very nice rides. Parking can be a little hard to get into the parking lot but there's a huge parking lot. It isn't very obvious how to get into the parking garage but I'm going to try next time. Overall a great place for family friends and even if you're on a date.

I rode on one of the rides that had a lap belt malfunction. Before i went on the ride the worker told me that one of the lap seat belts were loose and when i sat down i noticed it was mine and when i tried telling him he pulled down the lap belt and began laughing. He walked away and started the ride. Not only did that happen but i went on another ride i really didn’t want to get on but my brother insisted. the same guy who was doing the rides over heard us and as we were getting on he told my brother he was going to make it go faster and extra time. My sister in law also had a bad experience with the people who were selling drinks. She had received her drink and noticed it was flat she told the guy at the small stand and he drunk it himself out of the sane cup and straw to see if was flat and it was so he gave her another drink in the same cup with same straw that he just drunk out of. She told him she wanted a new cup that that was unsanitary but he refused until they argued a bit and finally she was given a new cup and straw.
