Stayed: November 2025; Room Type: 2 Queens, Balcony – Ocean View;
The staff were friendly and made check-in easy. Even though we checked in on the app, still had to obtain a parking pass. ($10/night.) They weren’t overly friendly and seemed bored or a low energy level than what I’m used to for a front-desk staff member. Other reviews would indicate we were all probably checked in by the same staff member that seems "put off" that he has to do his job. I appreciated the breakfast with a pancake maker, yogurt and all the fixings for a yogurt parfait, eggs and sausage patties and juice, coffee, and tea options. This hotel is combined with another Hilton-brand hotel but the other, in my opinion, doesn’t have the views that some of the rooms at Tru has. The elevators are on island time and are a little slow, especially during peak breakfast, check-in and check-out times. Absolutely would stay again! I would recommend Tru to families, couples not wanting to break the bank on lodging close to the beach, solo travelers. I would definitely book again for my next trip to Galveston.

This is a nice hotel! Very modern. It is affordable, has an amazing breakfast and is in a good location. Additionally, I had a nice view of the ocean to see the sunrise. However, the A/C went out at 2am and it was hot until about 5:30am.

Loved my stay at Tru by Hilton Galveston. Clean, comfortable room with an amazing water view.
The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus.
Parking was convenient and easy to access, though there was a small daily fee. Overall, the hotel had a friendly atmosphere, great service, and unbeatable views. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Galveston!

Extremely rude staff that do not even come
Close to Hilton standards of what should be representing a world renowned brand. The Manager Jessica was dressed in a hoodie as if she just woke up.
The young man in the evening, that’s a teenager, is the most respectful employee there…. the rest should take notes.
The Bartender Josh is wonderful, kind and I don’t associate him with the despicable staff inside hotel.
Corporate look into the staff I’m
Not the only review complaining.
