I’ve stayed at Tru by Hilton and Home2 Suites (same building/ same reception) on Seawall Blvd, and I liked them both for different reasons.
Tru feels newer and more modern — the room was super clean, and I had a great water view. The breakfast was good, and it’s perfect for a short beach trip.
Home2 Suites has bigger rooms with a little kitchen, which is nice if you’re staying a few days or traveling with family. It’s quieter and feels more like a small apartment.
Overall, I’d pick Tru for a quick getaway and Home2 if I’m planning to stay longer. Both are right by the beach and very comfortable!

We stayed here for a little vacation and when we got checked in we noticed the paper towels were stained like they weren’t changed out after the previous guest. The cups were dirty and there was BLOOD on our sheets and pillows. The room was absolutely disgusting and when we were talking to the front desk they seemed to not care. We had to ask to change rooms and they didn’t even offer to switch or even change the bedding. We spoke with the manager and he said there were no other accommodations since we had asked to switch rooms. They were very rude and unhelpful. I was very disappointed and honestly disgusted with how dirty the room was and how management handled the situation.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Housekeeping and Kindness at Home2 Suites!
My family and I recently stayed at Home2 Suites for two weeks and I have to give special recognition to the wonderful housekeeper named Vanessa Sánchez who truly went above and beyond for us. We were traveling with our dogs, and she showed so much care, patience, and kindness — not just toward us, but toward our pets as well.
Every day, she made sure our room was spotless, organized, and welcoming. She paid attention to every little detail, from making sure we had fresh towels to checking in on anything we might need. It’s rare to meet someone who takes so much pride in their work and genuinely cares about guests’ comfort.
Because of her, our stay felt extra special and stress-free. She truly represents what great hospitality should be — friendly, hardworking, and thoughtful. Home2 Suites is lucky to have her on their team!

A 3* hotel with spacious rooms. 1 elevator was broken so we had to wait about 10 mins sometimes. But this can happen. Front office staff was pretty friendly and professional. Pool looks more like a jail but in comparison to other hotels here it is nice. In the morning we came to the breakfast buffet at 6am and most of the tables were dirty and sticky. Clearly not cleaned. The buffet was simple and ready but just one way cups, plates and cutlery available. For a a hotel "by Hilton" this is a bad standard. But we can get along with that. But staff was hanging at the table all together and talked with their kids on the phone on the loudspeaker. Were laughing und sitting there for over 30 mins and having a break. No one said "good morning" or cleaned the tables. Filled up the buffet or works. This is bit a pitty and should be corrected.
