My wife and I have made it a tradition to celebrate our wedding anniversary here at the Hilton Galveston Island Resort every August for the past 10 years, and every visit has been nothing short of amazing. This last time, I came for a short business trip, and once again, I received the worm welcome from the moment I walked in. The check-in experience was flawless thanks to Peggy and Emily at the front desk. It’s rare to find such consistency in service over the years, but Hilton Galveston Island Resort does it every single time. One of the highlights of our visits has always been dining at the restaurant at the hotel where our favorite host, Sybil, has been here all these years and never fails to make our anniversaries extra special with thoughtful surprises. The food is always good, and the atmosphere is perfect for special dinners and casual meals. This place has an incredible team of people working here that feels like family. Every staff member from the Front Desk to the Houskeeping goes above and beyond to create a welcoming environment, and after a decade of visits, we genuinely consider this place our home away from home. I forgot to mention the amazing tropical pool overlooking the beach in front of it. Probably one of the best pools on the island. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience on Galveston Island!

I tried repeatedly to get in touch with the front desk but get no response or get out of town sales reps that were not helpful. The room was acceptable but small. I stay here for a nice place for the family to rest before we go on our cruises. We utilize the long term parking and shuttles when we go on our cruise. Last year it was a seamless process. This year not so much. The bus was not on schedule and the driver was not very clear in communication.

The restaurant at the hotel was good. One night for dinner we ordered buffalo wings and a cheeseburger. One morning I ordered an omelet. The food was good. I think it's a little overpriced. The only complaint during our stay was the elevators. We could hear the elevators in our room (502).The elevators were loud. While on the elevators, they felt like they were going to break down. I would stay here again. An Barbara that was our waitress for breakfast was amazing.
