The price is good BUT the hallways were smelly, the room also smelled funny. No fan in the bathroom. Plenty of parking but it’s not free ($10). The bed is “jumpy”. The windows don’t open so the air is damp. Oh and cherry on top is a cockroach roaming in the lobby.

The hotel room was was in need of repairs and a thorough cleaning. The shower had mold, broken tile, and hairs left behind. It was a perfect location for cruising though

I cannot sleep, the bed is so hard, I woke up so sore and was tossing and turning and did not sleep at all!😫We checked out at 11pm the night before we were supposed to check out and drove an hour and a half home so we could sleep in a comfortable bed. I really think everything else about the hotel was really good and the bed issue was a huge let down, please replace your mattresses!! (Room 422)

Great little hotel. We stayed one night before our cruise so we didn't get to enjoy the beach but it's right across the street. Maybe I'm behind on the tech stuff, but your phone was your key to the room. I thought that was awesome. You have to pay $10/night to park but it's covered parking. I loved that when I walked into the room there was a "Welcome Michelle" on the TV. Overall, it was a good experience for us and our needs

We stayed one night on Tuesday before Thanksgiving (2025) and were pleasantly surprised. Don't know how recently updated this hotel was, but there were many signs it could not have been long ago. For a beach area hotel, it did not have the smell of beach hotels. Maybe we got lucky, but the woman who checked us in was mature, professional, pleasant and helpful. Since I booked the room with my Hilton ID, we got recognition for that, two bottles of water, and free parking. The hotel is across the street from Walmart and within easy walking distance of the seawall. Because we spent the day at Moody Gardens, it was nice that the two are so close to each other. We left MG to check in, rest a little, and then went back to go to ICELand before dinner. Back to the updates. The room and the breakfast area were very well maintained and comfortable. There were tons of USB charging stations in both places which is always welcome. The beds were comfortable if not luxurious. Everything worked and nothing was broken in the room. I have traveled all over the world, and this one was great. I like Hampton Inns because they serve free hot breakfast. As the saying says, it isn't love, but it isn't bad. The breakfast area was roomy; many hotels in this range have small, crowded spaces. Other details were also covered. Security seemed good. The entrance to the parking area elevator was key-card controlled. Lately, hotels claim to have ice machines when they don't. Our floor had one, which was nice. Check in and out were easy and pleasant. It was a little hit-and-miss if someone would be at the front desk when we came through, but it wasn't an issue for us. The price for the accomodation was very fair and we enjoyed our short stay. We stay on the island once or twice per year. This hotel goes onto my list.
