For the price, this place should offer much more. Yes there is location with a swim up bar pool, but the quality of the living quarters was NOT what were used to with a Hilton. The rooms were small, can tell they've seen their days and dated. No bathtub in room, only shower. Pool is not heated, no hot tub. Also you have to pay for breakfast and dining here. There was an elevator down causing an eternal line of people waiting.

Both elevators were broken the main elevator had been down for some time. When the service elevator went out they said that will also take weeks. We were moved down stairs and all we heard all night and day were slamming doors since the elevator was broken everyone took the stairs. Maintenance men could use a lesson on how to adjust a hydraulic on the doors so they don't slam. Rooms mediocre at best. Staff could use some customer service training. Food was meh.. never go back. Definitely disappointed in a Hilton property. I usually always stay in Hilton properties and this was by far one of the worst. Stay somewhere else.

This hotel disappointed our family more than any hotel that I can remember in the decades that we have been traveling together. It’s a DoubleTree in the Hilton family of hotels, and it was certainly not cheap, so we assumed it would be a good place to stay. Instead, it was truly awful. First, the rooms, while clean, were poorly maintained. I understand that seaside air causes problems with moisture and rusting, but the carpets were close to threadbare. The light fixtures had rusting and unidentifiable stains on the lampshades. The tiles in the shower had crumbling portions. The bed sagged more than any hotel bed I can remember. On the plus side, the air conditioner worked, the room seemed clean, and there weren’t any bugs. The refrigerator worked. One of the worst things was that the doors would not open and close easily. Apparently this was related to the humidity, because when the temperatures went down, the movement of the doors changed, although not always an improvement. I have never had to physically wrestle with a hotel door to force it open or to force it closed. I think we should have moved hotels just based on the difficulty with the doors, but it was a holiday weekend, and we weren’t sure we could get rooms elsewhere. We were only visited by housekeeping once in four days, and they didn’t have any towels, so we had to go grab some off a cart ourselves later. The other horrible thing was the breakfast buffet. Only two family members were even willing to try it, and they both said it would have been below average for a free buffet. But it wasn’t free. They paid over $20 for a substandard breakfast. That’s outrageous. So, we went elsewhere for breakfast every morning, which was a pain. The location is nice. I would only stay there again if I had absolutely zero options. Hilton and Doubletree should be ashamed of themselves for including this place within their brands. It does not belong in any group of hotels of quality.

We arrived there after a very long day of traveling. We had a reservation. Wit was around 12:30 in the morning and after checking in and giving her our credit card she then tells us that the elevators aren’t working. I said are you serious. What floor are we on she said the 4th floor. I said no way we are senior citizens and my husband just had two back surgeries last year. I asked if she could put us on the first floor she said she didn’t have anything. I asked what about the second floor she said oh yeah I do have a room on the second floor. My husband had to carry our luggage ( both weighing around 50 pounds) up two flights of stairs. She offered no help at all! Very very upset and annoyed. What if someone was handicapped or 90 years old! There was no communication before we arrived to let us know that the elevators were not working. Two days later they still were not working. My husband had to carry the luggage down two flights of stairs. We were not happy at all!!!

Worst hotel stay. The rooms were not available upon check in at 4pm. We stayed around the pool and around the lobby in hopes we could check in at the exact time 4pm, unfortunately nothing was available. There were several other families waiting as well. I am unsure if others were checked in due to hotel status or race. But my family was not. 5pm came around and we were still not checked in. Ridiculous. I will say it is odd an Hispanic family (us), an Indian family, Asian family, and black family are the only ones left with no rooms. But some how the white families received a room. Please do better. It’s 2025.
