We loved the garage parking and gym in the rooms. The customer service was good. Very nice. The rooms is what we had an issue with. The first room the carpet was soaking wet near the refrigerator my husband went to check out the frigerator and noticed it was dirty inside then looked in the microwave and a takeout box od food in it was in there . My husband pulled out his black light flash loght to check the bed and it had fluid stains the bed sheets were not changed we called and they switched rooms the frigerator and microwave was a little dirty vut the bed passed the test and we were exhausted.

We had very little water pressure and the water came out brown when you first opened it. There was also drilling all day long we don’t know what they were doing it started since 7 in the morning and continued all day they morning staff wasn’t very accommodating either. They gave me a room with no shampoo or conditioner in the bottles.

Young lady Perla the auditor wasn’t pleasant and not welcoming at all. Room service was sub par the only good thing is the tv and the bed but other than that get friendlier staff. The night auditor was awesome and the tech guy was awesome and very knowledgeable.

By far one of my worst stays at a Hilton property. First, we spent 20 minutes trying to access the correct floor given the garage elevators were down.
Next, we get to the room and there's stains and spots all over the carpet. No exaggeration. It was late so we figured we'd deal with it.
Next, I go into the restroom and cut the faucet on. The water was yellow and cloudy even after letting run for quite some time. I contacted front desk and they said the plumbing had just been repaired. I'm in the waterworks industry and that explanation made no sense whatsoever. I ended up going across the street to the Mariott which was 10x better.
PLEASE DON'T SELL YOURSELF SHORT AND BOOK HERE. JUST GO ACROSS THE STREET TO MARIOTT. MAY BE A BIT MORE EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH IT.

I don’t enjoy leaving negative feedback, but unfortunately the DoubleTree Downtown has declined in quality. As a sales rep, this used to be my go-to hotel, yet my recent stay was disappointing.
• The room was not very clean: carpeting looked dirty, and the drapes appeared worn and dingy.
• Housekeeping was inconsistent. On one occasion, service didn’t arrive until 4:30 p.m., which meant my room went uncleaned during a four-day stay.
• The shower head had poor water pressure, and the drain stopper didn’t seal properly.
. The lighting was extremely poor too unless I let the drapes open, which I don’t care to do when people can see in in the evening. I could barely see a thing. I would suggest either getting better bulbs or figuring out a way to add more lighting to the room.
On a positive note, the front desk staff was welcoming and professional, and the breakfast was enjoyable. Still, the overall upkeep and service need serious attention. Unless improvements are made, I’ll be booking elsewhere for future trips. The other unfortunate part was, I convinced my coworker to stay here as well. She was extremely disappointed, and will go back to the other Hilton Garden Inn by UTEP
