Room was a little dirty. Especially the discoloration on the shower curtain so I give the room a 3. Overall it was not as tired as most of these old Double Tree branded hotels. Service was not great and the front counter person appeared to be poorly trained. We checked in at midnight for a 5 hour stay. She called the room at 2AM because she just got around to running our credit card and received a fraud alert from my card company. I let her know I would stop by the counter at 5AM when we checked out to resolve it. Well, she called again an hour later and now wanted it resolved immediately so I went down and resolved it. I'm a member of their loyalty program and a heavy business traveler that stayed at Hilton 8-10 days of the past 30. I'm no stranger to their brand.

I would love to give this a higher rating because it's an upscale hotel with good staff. BUT, the extra firm bed was so uncomfortable it was difficult to fall asleep and my back was sore the next day. This trend has to stop, it's awful to pay a premium price over budget friendly hotel chains and get a board instead of a bed. Guaranteed none of the Double Tree execs sleep on rock solid bed at home.
Also weirdly there are 2 outdoor bar/swimming areas, but the staff never mentioned them, there was nothing on the website you get linked to and no in room directory to tell hours etc.
