The hotel got 3 strikes on my visit which is why it got 3 less stars. The visit was to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday (12/27/25) and though the night was still enjoyable, we will not be visiting again.
1 - A roach appeared on our bed 5 min after entering our room so I had to take care of that.
2 - The mini fridge didnt work so the $200 dinner we couldnt finish at kitchen & kocktails was lost.
3 - I paid for breakfast with my hotel reservation but had leave on an empty stomach. In the morning I like to check out the restaurant while my partner prefers to stay in the room. So usually I go down, get some coffee and get our food delivered to our room. This is something simple that a 2star hotel has been able to accommodate for me without problems. Well the hostess believed that was the case as well because she told me that I could order from the bar and just give my room details for them to take. I even specifically told the person that took my order I wanted it taken to my room and they nodded their head so I took it as a yes we can do that. Something that room service confirmed as well, all they had to do was pass the order over to them. But nope our food sat there all morning while we waited in vain. While I would like to add that the restaurant manager refunded the food to my account, the hotel had already charged me for breakfast before I arrived so the money is gone and I doubt it'll be refunded to me. The restaurant manager did say he would talk with the hostess about letting guests know the restaurant can't ensure room deliveries because they are a different department from hotel room service, but I think all that's needed is good communication between the two. Also it is not just on the hostess, the kitchen staff are the ones that processed the order and tried to charge it despite me telling them I need a room delivery.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location and walkability were great. I parked two blocks away at the Elm Street garage, which seemed like a better, less chaotic option than the valet situation when I pulled up. The condition of my room left a lot to be desired. I also felt like I intentionally got assigned the room closest to the elevator (noisy) because I was by myself. There was someone else’s old takeout in the minibar, flickering lights, and a remote with bad batteries. I couldn’t even connect to Netflix, which seemed outdated for this hotel. Not a bad experience overall, I just expected better from the room.

Had an amazing chill weekend at the Statler for my wife's birthday. The bed was super comfortable, we melted into it. The bathroom is huge and had a wonderful rain shower head. The tub is also very cool, and one of the reasons we stayed at this hotel. It does have the drain in a weird place, in the middle of the tub, but wonderful for soak if you don't mind the drain placement.
The very BEST thing about this hotel is the staff and their commitment to making sure guests have top tier experience. We needed a bottle opener and Michele at the front desk gave us her personal one. Skyler also gave amazing service and made sure we got our food delivery. I had the best Kentucky Mule of my life at the roof top bar, which has a great lounge area and pool. The view is good but the vibes are better.

The hotel is a nice hotel, stayed with my daughter because I had an early appointment at the Baylor. I had a not so pleasant experience with Valet, they were talking and didn’t offer assistance to my daughter. Front desk was nice, pleasant and professional. And than, we met Mr. Christian Mercedes in the hallway, he talked to us, carry our luggage to our room and when he knew I was there for a medical appointment, he send some fruits to our room and extra bottle of waters. Check on us the next morning and even asked how was everything. He was pleasant young man. The restaurant staff were a little rush, and in the evening, the staff was just to relaxed, sitting and laughing. My daughter order food. Overall a good stay, most of the staff is very friendly. Hotel is clean, but a little rundown.

Everything about the Statler was fun, the team and service were impeccable, and the door man Scott was awesome. Overall we had a wonderful stay EXCEPT THE PLACE WREAKED OF POT. It was clear there was little or no enforcement of the no-smoking regulations and I did not observe any obvious no-smoking signage. Maybe it was just a small number of guests but you could smell pot in the hallways and elevators. The last elevator ride, it was like the last person had actually smoked in there… I would be less upset if my kids weren’t asking me, “Daddy, what’s that smell?” And I promise it wasn’t anyone’s farts — they were asking about the weed smell in the hallway and elevators. I know people smoke weed everywhere these days but at other hotels, you don’t constantly smell it in the hallways and have guests hotboxing the elevators. Perhaps this is much more noticeable at The Statler because the building is older and there is little ventilation in the elevators because the elevators look original to 1957.
For a Hilton property at $400+ per night you’d expect better ventilation and enforcement of the non-smoking policies with guests. Unfortunately, I won’t be staying here in the future with my family. It’s a shame because the staff across the board are all awesome and very responsive and attentive.
