This review is long overdue.
I stayed here for a long work trip in October, and I was mortified to see roaches on two occasions. One scuttled right by my head on my nightstand, and another was spotted in the pantry area.
I was extremely disappointed with the way staff spoke to me. I mentioned the roaches and was told that cleaning staff would spray the room, and that I should also buy traps on Amazon. Why would I spend my own money to take care of a problem that the hotel should be addressing?
I was also told that roaches were just inevitable in Dallas. I didn’t feel that the hotel took this matter seriously at all. It made for a very uncomfortable stay, and I couldn’t sleep at night thinking about pests. I also question if they actually sprayed my room, because of the second roach appearance.
There were also security issues as the elevators did not require a scan from a keycard. Anyone, guest or not, could come up to a room, which was also deeply concerning.

The location and service were outstanding!! Moncia greeted us when we arrived and made us feel so at home! She told us where all the restaurants were and also directed us to the convention venue. She was a joy!! The rooms were lovely, the only issue we had was with the toilet but maintenance fixed it right away!! Thank you Homewoods Dallas crew!!

Pas d’eau chaude pendant 4 jours … inadmissible !
Le changement de chambre ou l’intervention de la maintenance n’a rien résolu.
A la fin un discount demandé nous est refusé. Même pas commerçant … nous ne recommandons pas du tout.

I have traveled extensively so you can have some confidence in this review. I'd rate it 4.5 stars based in my expectations. We stayed at the Homewood Suites in downtown Dallas on Elm street the weekend of December 19, 2025. The location is excellent: 25 min walk to the American airlines center; 25 min walk to reunion tower; 15 min walk to JFK museum; 15 min walk to the aquarium. We had a corner room on the 8th floor. It was clean and looked to be renovated not long ago. The service staff was truly outstanding - front desk, reception, valet parking - everyone was super helpful and very friendly The extras included in the room rate that we made use of were the buffet breakfast, pool tables, virtual golf. The basketball area looked great too but we did not make use of it. Valet parking was $37 per day with unlimited in/out. The breakfast was average / ok and as expected with your standard eggs, lukewarm sausage, cereals, fruit, not-great coffee, juices, milk and cook-your-own waffles. The room was a corner room with windows on 2 walls. There were a few dents in the fridge door but other than that, the room was spacious with a king bed, pull-out sofa, microwave, fridge, TV, etc.

Strange hotel, the rooms looked like little apartments with a lot of floor space to spread out. Weirdly there were public restrooms in the hallways as well as private ones in the room itself.
The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and there is no free hotel parking here. $37 valet fee just for them to park the truck 5 feet from where we dropped it off.
The area is a little rough with more than a few people sleeping rough in the windbreaks between buildings.
The doors weren’t weather stripped and the insulation between rooms was thin. Every word spoken outside and next door came through at a conversational volume. Kinda felt like undergrad dorms at uni.
Conveniently located within walking distance of the House of Blues, if you’re visiting for a concert it was affordable by Dallas standards and nicer than a Motel 6.
