Nicely remodeled with newer furnishings. It's nothing fancy and right off the freeway.

My experience at this hotel was mixed. The cleanliness of the facility was satisfactory. Unfortunately, I didn’t sleep well because the bedsheets and blankets were itchy, possibly due to bedbugs. On the other hand, the breakfast was very delicious. The lady attending to guests was very nice. They offer an indoor pool, which is somewhat small. The area had a strong chemical scent.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!! Drove 6hours from Dallas for a funeral, arrived at 11 and went straight to bed, The room smelled like MOLD and Mildew, portable air conditioners were straggled around the hall ways (Assumed they had ac issues in the building). I could never get my AC unit to cool the room, the bed was extremely lumpy and hard but I was so tired from working all day and driving 6 hours I just went to bed. I checked out at 8 am and reported the issues of bed and AC to front desk lady ( Mary was her name ). Went about my business and drove back to Dallas. Upon checking my CC statement I had an additional charge of $250 for smoking in the room. NOT TRUE AT ALL, When I called the front desk and spoke with Mary she said the cleaning lady said had towels on the smoke detectors and I was caught smoking- all UNTRUE. I have severe asthma and take 2 inhalers a day just to breathe. I called them back today since i haven't heard from DaShaw the manager, I was told he was busy and would MAYBE call me back. I feel this is a retaliation of me complaining about AC, bed and the smell of mold/mildew.

The Hampton Inn Corpus Christi-North was decent for a short stay, but it’s showing signs of age and upkeep issues.
Pros:
The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a modern bathroom and a nice walk-in shower. The bed was large and comfortable, and there was good desk and seating space for working or relaxing.
The fitness room was surprisingly well-equipped for a smaller hotel, with treadmills, free weights, kettlebells, and exercise balls.
Staff were polite and friendly.
Cons:
The elevator looked very worn and had visible scuff marks, giving a dated and neglected impression.
Hallways had dehumidifiers and portable AC units running, which made the place feel like it was dealing with moisture or HVAC issues.
Some areas of the hotel (carpets in the hallway, finishes in the elevator) looked a bit run-down compared to the updated rooms.
No smart TV to stream Netflix or YouTube.
Overall:
It’s fine if you’re looking for a comfortable room and good amenities, but the property itself feels a little tired. With some renovations and better maintenance in common areas, it could match the quality of the rooms.

I do not expect the world from a 3 star Hampton Inn but, I do expect a clean, safe place to sleep. The only good thing I have to say is the desk clerk was very kind during check in. The bad - rooms smell immediately when you walk in. The floors are dirty with cobwebs and pieces of leaves and AC/Heater had a bunch of dust/dirt in the grill cover. The worse - this place has bugs. Do not stay here. I will NEVER be coming back.
