- JRJames RichterNov 30, 20251.0Checked in to the room and it smelled really moldy. It was so bad that it made our eyes water and it was difficult to breath. We notified the front desk. Diana was really helpful. She moved us to another room a few doors down. When I first opened the door, it smelled like cleaning chemicals. I thought we were in the clear. Much to my dismay, the smell came through really strong only after a few minutes of being in the room. It was terrible. It smelled like a combination of wet dog and mildew. Diana cancelled our reservation and left a note for her manager to refund our money. Here we are 50 days later with no refund. I've called the front desk numerous times with no answer. It just rings for minutes at a time. 10 out of 10 do not recommend this hotel. The rooms were terrible. We ended up staying across the street at the Marriott. It was much better. I'm working with Hilton now to figure the refund out.

Breakfast was your normal hotel breakfast food - pastries, waffles and some egg & meat hot option. Our room was very spacious. However it had a very strong musty smell as soon as you walked in. It definitely needed updating. The shower pressure was also poor.

Granted, it had been raining for days straight. The bed this time was horrible though. I have stayed multiple times at this location, but I am afraid I will be trying somewhere new on my next stay in the Austin area.
